If you had sufficent money to by every permutation of numbers what would you're average return on investment be given that you should receive a fair few 3 matches etc. Would you make money or loose out also conscidering that 50p in every ticket you buy would add to the prize fund.

Sound good? Then you could be one of the 17 people who have won over £55,000 on Lotto and who have failed to claim it. There's one ticket from Stevenage with £142,000 unclaimed from 25 November 2006 and another nutcase from Tunbridge Wells who has failed to claim £2,500,000 since 15 November 2006. Are they unlucky or just dozy arseholes? Would you buy a Lotto ticket and then fail to check it? What do you think?

I've downloaded the last 2 years (200 pulls) of the multistate Powerball lottery.
I was going to review the 5 most frequently occuring numbers, with the 2 most frequently occuring powerballs, and make a collection of 5 numbers I will play all year.
Then I got to thinking.... would it make more sense to pick the LEAST frequently occuring numbers (thinking that their time would be coming).
And should I use 10+ years of data, instead of just 2?
I play for fun, only $5 2x per week... so what are your thoughts!
