By flock effect I mean that raised, velvet-like finish often used to apply a floral pattern to textiles or wallpaper. I'm interested in trying to do it myself on a suit jacket or t-shirt. Is applying it a process that can be done at home or is it altogether more industrial (expensive machinery; noxious chemicals; etc.)? I asked a textiles guy at John Lewis and he had no idea whatsoever. Has anyone personally done this?

Hello everyone, I hope you guys can help me out here. I am thinking of making a soy candle for my girlfriend for her birthday--soy because she is vegan, and I want to be sensitive to that with this gift. I have been trying to figure out what scent to make the candle, and I had been thinking about using the essential oils of flowers like lavender, but then I remembered that she really liked the way my cologne smells. I was hoping someone here could tell me if it is possible to use cologne as a candle fragrance when you make a candle, and if using soy wax would effect it adversely in any way. I realize that this is an odd question, but I appreciate any help that anyone can provide. Thank you very much in advance.

I've been saving the pretty colored pop tops from energy drinks for a while. I found out how to make a bracelet from them, but no luck on earrings and I'm not an expert on jewelry making so I'm not quite sure on how I would go about making earrings out of them.

I am making a "gimmick" for some fans of music entertainers, and wonder where I can purchase the "sticks" not the tongue depressor kind, for making homemade fans. They need to be fairly long and stable, but not popsicle sticks, and I need to buy them in bulk.

Me and my friends recently got big into board games. We found out we like risk alot but it is a bit too simple. My friend suggested axis and allies but it is a bit too much, just too complicated and single turns take too long. Now I played some futuristic version of risk, like Risk 2038 or something like that and I had a really good time. So I decided to looks and see what other types of risk there are, welp there is ALOT. Everything from "Lord of the Rings" to Transformers. I am looking online but I have a hard time finding any ratings and I don’t want to buy a version that stinks. I was just wondering what are your favorite versions of Risk (and a brief explanation why)?

P.S. If there is a Risk like game you would like to recommend feel free.

Hi everyone,My son wants to go out as a star wars jawa for halloween now i cannot afford the $70-120.00 dollar price tag on them so i thought maybe i could make him one well i have searched high and low for a pattern and i havent had any luck,i have checked Ebay,Joanns,Walmart EVERY WHERE I COULD THINK OF I HAVE CHECKED!! I'm not putting this post up to start an argument, Halo is in fact the best game ever... I'm not saying this because I believe that it is, I think that if more people played halo (not that there is already millions that do) I think people would agree with me. Mario, Final Fantasy, and Unreal Tournament are all indeed great selling games, and are the top selling games ever, but there is no comparison to Halo 1, 2, or 3. Halo 3 will be released in a day from now. I recommend everyone with an xbox 360 to buy it. Halo 3 will be one of the most top selling games in the world, that also means that it will be one of the most selling disc's in the world, and I'm not just talking about video games... I am talking about movies, cd's, games, pc games, anything that is a disc. If you believe that there is a better game than Halo, re-think that... Halo will never be beaten, it is in fact. The greatest game ever.
