I need some ideas for different but not too difficult Christmas cookies to add to my gift of cookies trays. I have never been a big cookie baker but feel inspired this year. What are some of your favorite or most often requested. I have already made gingerbread men, oatmeal raisen (my fav) and what I am calling chokecherry snowflakes. Thanks for your help.

i soaked some red kidney beans over night and then cooked them for a good 2 hours or a hour and a half. My mother told me that if i dont cook them right i could get a upset stomach.

My question is, why do you have to soak them over night and make sure you cook them soft? Are they dangerous?

i am looking for 2 different kinds of candy. but where i live we dont have any candy stores and the grocerie stores donthave bulk candy.. i am looking for gummie coke bottles. thay are NOT WAX. thay are just like gummie bears but thay look like a coke bottle and taste like the sode coke.. and i am looking for tootsie roll pop drops. thay are little disk's thay taste just like a tootsie pop but thay are smaller and have no stick can anyone help me out?

i am moving and not taking any of the food with me. in fact while planning for the move, decided not to buy any groceries to add to the packing list. starting from scratch again. is there somewhere i can look to find a good "fresh start" grocery list, in lieu of me walking down each and every aisle?? no dietary restrictions. just me and an 11 year old boy.

my doctor told me tha milk and alcohol breaks down to carbohidrates. which has more carbohidrates?
is it the same to drink a glass of milk than to drink shot of jack daniels carbohidrates wise?. i guess the amount of carbohidrates will be calculated by the volume of alcohol. does anyone know the proces or formula to do this calculation and /or how does it works?
