I am from the UK and spent 6 months in Adelaide last year.
People tend to eat more fresh fruit than in the UK and they also ate more red meat. It is interesting that in the UK we are told red meat is bad for you and eat less of it. In Australia they tell you to eat more red meat!
Also because Auatralia is so multi cultural there are so many foods to choose from. I mean if you are talking about the real Australians, the Aboriginese they eat Witchety grubs!
Everyone else is from various parts of the world either the UK or Asia.
Personally I ate Weetabix!

Australians mostly eat the same crap the rest of the Western World eats, ie: Mc Donalds, Pizza, take aways, kellogs cornfakes, fruit loops or any of the other major trans-global food companes stuff.
There are 2 great Aussie icons of food, Vegimite, which was and still is a poor imitation of the English Marmite (weaker, sweeter taste) and Aeoplane Jelly (a gelatine coloured jelly, which should not be confused with the American version of jam.
Unlike Germany the main Australian meal is in the evening and is usually a hot meal, with the traditional Australian dinner being meat or poultry and several varieties of vegetable, usually along the lines of potato, carrots, peas or similar.
Beakfasts vary widely, some have a traditional English style of breakfast, others a more continental type, others Asian dishes such as congee, while a lot of people just have a cup of coffee or tea and toast.
Lunch varies also, many people have a sandwich, while others have junk food such as a meat pie while others have fruit or a cooked meal.
Breakfast and lunch tend to be smaller lighter meals. Sausage is not as popular here in Australia as in Germany.
In the past 20 or so years the eating habits of Australians have radically changed, with a lot of editerranian and Asian style foods being incorporated in to many peoples diets. It was also during the early to middle 1980s that saw the rise of fast food for main meals become a major feature in many Australian households.
t's actually very difficult to be specific as Australia is such a multcultural nation.

Australia is a multicultural country (we have different nationalities) so it would be hard for you to find out what type of food we eat for certain meals. I done this but on French traditions, I researched on the traditions that way it wouldn't be hard like Christmas, they eat seafood and for dessert they would have a chocolate yeul log. But thats my opinion.
Breakfast usually (if your at a camp) would be:
-cereal (weet bix, coco pops, rice bubbles, all bran etc, just any type of ceral)
- toast (with jam, butter or even vegemite)
- pancakes
-
Lunch
- meat pie
Dinner
- red meat (3-4 times a week)
-fish (we all love fishing!)
-
But thats with an average one. My parents nationality is filo and they came here to live. I am an Aussie but we normally have rice for each meal except for breakfast. Sorry if my info wasn't a help, its hard. But below is just a mixture of what we would eat (my family)
Breakfast
pancakes
toast
sausages
Recess/snack
Fruit
vegetables
Lunch
Sandwich (in schools everyone would have a sandwich)
Dinner
Pasta
Noodles
Fried rice
Vegeta
seafood
(sometimes yesterdays dinner)
Sorry once again if I couldn't help. But why dont you try to narrow it down?? Good luck mate!!!!

Hi there!
Your question inspired today's Yahoo!7 Answers blog!
Check it out here - http://au.blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-txN._0woRKfpYuTJw9rObY.WmgiUW5xm?p=1886
Now, our answer for a traditional day of Australian eating would include Weetbix and Vegemite on toast for breakfast, a pie floater for lunch (see the blog) and some lamb chops or prawns on the bbq for dinner.
Snacks would include the very delicious Freddo Frog chocolate, a bag of Twisties and a glass of cold milk and Milo. Most of these things are very hard to find elsewhere in the world.
Good luck with your homework!

From an aussie to a german - we normally the same style of food as the US and England.
For brekky I either have breakfast bars or brekky muffins with coffee.
For lunch a light meal with salad, or maybe even a pie or kebab.
For dinner, I cook nice dinners with fresh steamed vegies, pasta dishes and sometimes we have takeaway, pizza's are only a once-a-month thing. If we eat out, we generally have pub-style meals.
Desserts, anything!
We aussies are pretty versatile, and most of us enjoy chinese and italian food.
