After dinner, I covered the dish that was extremely hot and forgot to put it in the fridge before bed. I got up at 5am and realized I had left it out. It was about 8:30 when I covered it. I figure it took a good 2 hours just to cool down so it might be ok, but really would like some input.

I was in the line to buy some fruit from these little box-like places which sell fruit and vegetables, and two persons in front of me bought 2 and 3 kilos of onions respectively.
What do they do with this amount of onions? Did I miss something, are onions new bananas or something?

Many foods can be frozen and later thawed with no problem. Dairy products are not so easy. I can freeze my cheese but not the plastic cups with sour cream it. I don't really need to know what can be frozen, I need to know what cannot be frozen. I live where some foods are difficult to get (such as sour cream) and only travel to where it is available (about 300 kilometers away) about once a year. And what needs to be defrosted first in the refrigerator rather than right away at room temperature?

I like corn dogs a lot but I only eat 1 per year when the fair comes to town. It's not that I don't want to eat them the rest of the year, just happens. What food do you like but only find yourself eating once a year?
