is it okay to have ketchup and yogurt at the same time?

my mom said it will give my skin white spots. i didn't believe her so had it it any way. but not together but in the same meal.
is it true?

It won't hurt you -- definitely won't affect your skin with white spots. And unless you eat large quantities of both at the same time, it's unlikely to even cause an upset stomach, as long as you like the taste of both.

And I've had both in the same meal before too.

Never heard such a thing & can't think of what chemical reaction could cause white spots. Did your mother tell you what the white spots are?

You ought to ask this in the science chemistry category.

To tell you the truth, ketchup & yogurt don't do it for me

Never heard of this white spot theory. Actually, when you add ketchup to yogurt with a bit of chopped pickles thrown in, you will have thousand island sauce. I got this from a cookbook and have tried it with salad, it really tastes good! And no, no tummy upset either.

it doesnt matter what you eat together or at the same time it all mixes in your stomach and if you like the taste go for it. and as far as white spots i dont think it will or else there would be some type of warning about that

I don't really think so, yogurt is milk, with ketchup, not good. Maybe you should wait when eating each one, let it digest the yogurt or the ketchup first.
