I like corn dogs a lot but I only eat 1 per year when the fair comes to town. It's not that I don't want to eat them the rest of the year, just happens. What food do you like but only find yourself eating once a year?

Sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving or Christmas! Me love that pie! It's been a holiday thing with me that shall soon change to be more frequent! {me licking my lips! ;-) }
Same for jellied version of cranberry sauce!

Lobster. I only eat them when I go to Maine - which is just about every year. And, like you, I usually eat an elephant ear once a year at the local street fair in July.

Egg Nog is the drink that I love but only drink at christmas time. Of course maybe that is why I like it, since I only drink it once a year I don't get sick of it all year long.

I am with Rainbow on the sweet potato pie! It has been a Thanksgiving tradition since we were little. My little southern granny had the BEST recipe for a fluffy light sweet potato pie that would melt in your mouth. Her pecan pie was awesome too!

I like "peppermint bark" that is sold around Christmastime. It's my husband's favorite, and I gotta say it's really good!! You can only get it during the holidays, so it gives us something to look forward to once a year.

Home made chocolate pie with real meringue LOVE IT!!! Would eat it everyday if I could. So I stick with either Thanksgiving or Christmas for my treat.
