I saw a show where the chef left a whole chicken in a crockpot overnight to make stock, and then threw out the chicken. I made a stew out of chicken necks and giblets last night. I use powdered chicken broth, garlic, onion, wine, bay leaf and basil to flavour it.

Then I cut off the meat and let it simmer with the potatoes. Why would anyone use a whole chicken when you can buy canned chicken broth? I could have made chicken chaud-froid out of that.

In one episode of "Cheers" Cliff is seated at the bar describing the Buffalo Theory to his buddy, Norm. I don't think I've heard the concept explained better than this.

"Well you see Norm, it's like this....A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But, naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.

In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

I have this bag of red wheat cereal, it's like puffed wheat or something, and it tastes really bland. I don't feel like throwing it out, though, but I can't think of any more ways to try to make it taste good, to try to make it taste edible. Therefore, I am open to any and all suggestions on how t do this. Thanks for the help.

If you've never tried it before you should. Especially bread, with margerine on it/or nothing and then maybe Ranch potato chips or lays. Very Delicious!

We got a flyer hung on our doorknob by a restaurant advertising a new Chinese food restaurant and my hubby ordered from them not knowing where it was exactly.

When his food came (I do NOT eat out for this very reason so I didn't order anything.)

... The delivery driver complained because they are so far from our house. We tipped him $8.00 for his trouble (which was not actually our problem since they left the flyer to begin with.) and after he left, we opened the bag and even though the soup was closed, their was yellowish liquid all over the containers and the soup smelled like piss.

What would you do? We have to be carefull, because they know where we live and I like my car exactly the way it is with no key marks!

I have this problem every morning, where I have time to buy something before work and their are too many unhealthy choices. By the way, I'm at a healthy weight, maybe a little on the thin side, so if you know any foods that are healthy but might cause a liitle weight gain, that is ok.
