they are great on toast. But seriously...Of course! Humans eat jellyfish.
This is a Hawaiian recipe:
1/2 lb salted jellyfish
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 large cucumber, julienne
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Dash of hot chili oil
Take 1/2lb salted jellyfish. Rinse under running water for 20 minutes until no longer salty and cut into strips. Place in boiling water for 5 seconds (!) and drain. Arrange sliced cucumber on plate. Place Jellyfish on cucumber. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl, mix until smooth. Serve. Yum Yum!

Yes, I had a dish at a Chinese wedding. I called my friend up who was the bride and she gave me this recipe.
Sesame Jellyfish
1/2 lb jellyfish
2 teaspoons light soy sauce
3 tablespoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons Chinese white rice vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
To prep jellyfish:.
Rinse very well in cold water and drain. Put in a stainless steel bowland cover with boiling water for 15 mins or until tender. then drain rinse with cold water for 6 minutes if you are not using the jelly fish right a way you can soak in the frig but change the water ever hour or so. drain thoroughly and blot dry with papertowel.
Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, and sugar in a small bowl.
let sit 30 minutes.
just befor serving garnish with sesame seed.
You may heat this recipie if you like just stir fry it in a wok about 3 mins but it is best served cold.
