I am moving into university halls soon and my list of things to put in the fridge is already growing so I was wondering if I can keep stuff like Eggs and cheese in the cupboard or is that a big no no for food safety reasons?

I used to buy this really great cheese, but I forgot the name of it. it is harder than Cheddar, but not as firm as Parmesan. It is off-white or light yellow in color, and it tastes sort of like Jack, and it has a black rind. I believe the name of the cheese starts with an 'R', but I can't be certain. If you have any ideas of what the name of this cheese could be, please let me know.

I made a batch of blackberry freezer jam yesterday that never did jell. I measured everything carefully and followed the directions from the MCP pectin packet exactly. What the...? It's always come out before. Any ideas? It still tastes good, just very runny...guess I can use it on ice cream. :( Thanks.

If I economize and buy the large container of crumbled gorgonzola from Costco, how long will it keep in my fridge after I open the container?

Confession: it's lasted through 2 months worth of salad now, and even though I haven't hit the "sell by" date, I'm starting to wonder ....

I am trying to get back to my old eating habits(i.e healthier habits) and was sitting down figuring out dinners for when I go grocery shopping. I have a big problem though, my fiance is really picky and hates pasta and dosent like much in the way of veggies. Does anyone else have a similiar sititution? If so what do you do? I'd rather not make two different meals cause well frankly I'm lazy lol and it wouldnt be the best example for our son. Any meal ideas would be appreciated too.
