Entertaining

Due to having a high risk pregnancy with a c-section delivery, I declined the offer of a baby shower. Our little girls is now 8 weeks old and we would like to host a meet and greet party for family and friends. Many have not had the opportunity to meet her since I was recovering from surgery we asked that we not have drop in visitors. We believe we are going with Sugar and Spice theme which will allow us to have some bbq (spicy) and sweet. Favor suggestions and menu items would be appreciated. Any decorations?

I have a theme birthday party every year, I host nice parties (sex and the city or the rat pack part), this year my friends voted on the theme, they voted on a 'Homies' party. I haven't a clue on what my 'homie' name should be and what I need to serve for refreshments and drinks. Help!
