Due to having a high risk pregnancy with a c-section delivery, I declined the offer of a baby shower. Our little girls is now 8 weeks old and we would like to host a meet and greet party for family and friends. Many have not had the opportunity to meet her since I was recovering from surgery we asked that we not have drop in visitors. We believe we are going with Sugar and Spice theme which will allow us to have some bbq (spicy) and sweet. Favor suggestions and menu items would be appreciated. Any decorations?

You seem to have the spice taken care of so for the sugar:

Pastel colored candy. They sell these cute pacifier shaped candies. Decorate cakes, cookies or cupcakes with pink frosting. Make pastel colored flower or heart shaped cookies (using a basic sugar dough recipe and food coloring).

Use baby bottles as centerpiece items -- put a couple flowers in etc...maybe add cinnamon sticks in the arrangement for your spice...or instead of flowers use it for lollipops and cinnamon sticks.

Have fun and congratulations!
