Pork ribs, bbq chicken, baked potato, corn on the cobb, Iced tea and watermelon. For appetisers, you can serve hot wings or deviled eggs. For those who dont want tea, have a cooler of beer and sodas. But in my openion, sweet iced tea w/ lemon goes great with bbq.

Bratwurst with all the fixings
Grilled hamburgers with bleu or feta cheese in the center
Hot dogs for the kids
Grilled corn on the cob
Skewers of mushrooms, onion and peppers
Drinks: Mint mojitos, cold beer, limeade (so much better than lemonade) and orange slushies (made by mixing orange juice concentrate with a can of 7-up or gingerale and freezing til almost solid. Then scoop into glasses and fill with more 7-up or gingerale).

Well, I think a nice tri-tip roast and some chicken thighs (for a choice) along with some roasted bell peppers and onions. Also a nice potato salad (always good) and something cold and fruity for dessert. Possibly sherbet or a chilled fruit salad. Beverages: strawberry daquiris or pina coladas are nice (you could also make some virgin for kids or non-drinkers -- just don't confuse them). And of course, ice tea is always good in the summer at a BBQ. have fun. Second idea, pork loin steaks and shrimp kabobs with grilled asparaus and a good bread, french or sourdough (something crusty)-- for a little more elegant meal -- with a sweet, chilled white wine. again, have fun. bye

First- loosen everyone up with a pitcher of Mojito's with chips and salsa...
Chicken, Hot Dogs/buns for the kids, potato chips/dip , grapes, cole slaw, corn on the cob, watermelon, beer, Lemonade, and cup cakes for dessert with coffee!
relax - ask friends for help- have a friend bring the cupcakes- and another friend bring the grapes etc, everyone likes to participate in a bbq!

How many people are you having?.....keeping it simple is always the best idea.....I just did this yesterday....try grilling somefresh oysters in the shell as appetizers and follow with steaks and corn on the cob......a kinda surf & turf....that puts you up a notch from the burgers and brats crowd....plan on 3 oysters per person, slice up some potatoes lengthwise half inch thick, spray with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.....and check out my simple margarita recipie
