Singles & Dating - 3 March 2007

This is a hypothetical situation, but I need honest answers from guys or whoever has a thought.
Suppose you found out that a certain girl that you were really close friends with, liked you in a romantic way. Now, you've known this girl for a while, more than 5 years. And for some reason or another, you don't see her in that way, and just want to continue being friends. You would never want to hurt her. But one day, while you two are talking, she tells you how she feels about you, and that she's liked you as more than a friend for about a year now. Then after telling you how she feels, she asks you out. What would you do? Would you go out with her, just because you don't want to hurt her, & hope u develop feelings 4 her? Would u let her know that u didn't feel the same about her, but didn't want anything 2 happen 2 ur friendship. Would there be any way of handling this situation without hurting her feelings? If this predicament came up in ur life, what would u do?

Hi everyone. Recently I've been getting a lot of comments from co-workers, old friends, and even family that are all along the lines of "go socialize" or "do you have any friends?" or "why don't you wanna go out with us?"

I am a very nice personalbe person. However, I am almost afraid of being social. Growing up my parents were very strict about going to friend's houses, going out to the mall with friends, dances, parties, etc. My father often slapped me/yelled at me for socializing too much. That fear has stayed with me and even now as a 23 y.o. I am very reluctant to socialize.

I don't know what to do. I don't want to come off as a loner, but people already treat me differently and its very embarassing. Does anyone have any advice?

I told my boyfriend that we needed to talk, because I wasn't sure what to do -- he told me that he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life weith me, but I didn't know what to do. He told me that he was going to hurt himself and then he signed off.
I need some help!
We were only going out for a week and he blew this way out of proportion.
He's not letting me talk to him or break up with him.

ok there is this girl that i like, we liked each other but she kinda liked someone else too that lived closer to her. then she went with him(about a month ago when they first went out) but she also said she thinks about me alot. then she said she was confused about who she should of went wit. about a couple of hours ago she said she was going 2 stay single for awhile because she was stressed and confused

she still says she really likes me as a bf

im not trying to pressure her into going wit me but is there anything i could do so that it could possibly help???

I find that people, males and females alike seem to avoid me. I find that they have a difficult time looking me in the eye when I speak to them and their body language indicates that they appear very uncomfortable. But usually if they get to know me better everything is normal. What am I doing to make these people feel uncomfortable around me?When I look them in the eye, could l possibly look angry.

I have read the book "Why men love bitches" and looking back at how I was dating in the past I realised that, oh boy, I did it all wrong: too nice, too easy, not noticing when was time to say "good-bye" to loosers, etc. So, my question is - what's your secret? So there's this girl, and i like her a lot, and I think she likes me too and we are both really shy. Well we were talking on msn messenger and i told her that i had to go, don't ask. Ok. So I was with my boyfriend in the backseat of a car... and we were just making out... and he suddenly just looked at me and told me that he loves me. I'm completely in love with him too, but how do I know if he means it? He seems really genuine... and he's definitely sweet but I don't know if he means it or not. It hurts to think that he might just be messing with me. I really hope he's not, but the thought is still there.

He's a real cool kid, but I soon realized that it wasn't love. There is just no spark in the relationship, like there was with my last boyfriend. is it true that theres no love like your first love? or is this "spark" something you grow out of? i dunno, but i need to end this relationship.

Me and mah boi got in a fight today, no not a hitting fight, but just a disagreement. i was really close to breaking up with him, but he did everything he could to make sure i didnt, so i didnt. but i do NEED to. but i still want to be friends. but there is no excuse lamer than "lets just be friends", and i dont want to use that. but if i break up with him, i know he'll be crushed. is there any way to convincing him that breaking up is a good thing? ahah should i just try to "turn him off" as much as i can so he'll have no choice but to break up with me? or should i confront him, tell him how i feel, and be done with it? please help!

all my life, i just cant show any emotions when i hear something negative. Like For Example, when my grandfather died a few years ago, I didnt even feel anything, i didn't cry at his funeral. Now my mom just told me, she has a brain tumor. Im just like "oh ok". People think im weird and I dont care about my mother, thats not it, its just i cant show any emotions. To me its like the saying "it is, what it is".

ok so yesterday i was kinda i guess flirting with this guy then we started playing basketball and he kept starin at my friend and checkin her out... when me her and him we playin. my other friend who didnt play at the end b4 we left asked him out for me he then said "which one wants to go out with me?"
and she told him me and described what i was wearing
then he said" oh uhh.. idk i have to think about it" but then somehow he asked for my # so i gave it too him then that night he called and asked me out then we had plans for today me him my friend and his friend. well it was the time we were supposed to meet and he wasnt there so i called him and he said he would b ther in 10 but then he called right back and said he couldnt come b/c he had to go to the mall wiht family.....does he really like me??? is he using me???? should i dump him????

So i went to this dance recently and a guy i just met was there, i convinced him to dance with me on one of the slow songs and he seemed excited when he found out that he was the only one i danced with. He then followed me all night taking pictures (because he is on the yearbook staff) he seemed flirty and everything, then i come to find at another function that he has a girlfriend and he didnt even mention her, i asked him about it later and he said that she lives in another state. I dont know if i should just give up on it, i havent told him that i like him. I just dont know what to do please help me.
