i've been the new girl in my Christian highschool for 6 weeks. everone tells me how pretty i am, stuff like: 'what big eyes', or 'you smile like julia roberts', or 'u look like a barbie'. i don't feel pretty. im single, and i don't want to be. but i feel like boys represent an open flame, and i represent a small child seeing fire for the first time. i want to get close to the fire, but every time i do i get burned. after getting burned a few times, i've learned my lesson about fire. how do i overcome this? how can i tell if a guy likes me? and what kind of guy is most trustworthy? bad boy? shy guy? goofy guy?

...when he can't even get over me?
My best friend (for a few years) and I have recently fallen head over heels for each other - we were not expecting this at all - we truly care and adore each other but we decided that right now is not a good time in our lives to have that serious relationships we long from each other. We're still great friends but i'll notice he'll do certain things that give it away:
- put his hand on my thigh
- when there's light physical contact, he holds my hand
- when he hugs me, it's tight and close
- he gives me a kiss on the hand (though he's tempted to really kiss me)
- says, "maaaaan, you should be getting over me...this isn't helping...it's a slow process to get over you..."
- tries to fish for answers about other guys if i'm interested in them or not
- he'll randomly just give me that look and smile at me, and look away

Why does he want me to get over him if he still likes me?

my parents are dead againts me joining the military, because they are afraid i will be send to war, and die. But to me its, like i probably will die and thats the way life is, so why worry about it, because it is what it is. But my parents don't understand that, Idk how to explain that to them.

i cant keep a job cuz of this.. im constantly unemployed... i dont put on make up or dress sexy nor do i flirt or really talk to men. white women have hit me in my back and covered and lied 4 each other and said it didnt happen. the wgite women wont promote me either. they incessantly call me stupid, etc. im, already at the point where im becomong a racist to white females...unfortunately the workforce is made up of 90 percent white women, the white man is obsolete..

A girl from school instant messaged me the other day and we started talking, we talked about the people we liked and what we have in common. She also gave me her number the first time we talked saying " call me if u need help and dont be shy." she is real shy and dosent talk alot in school and when i try to talk to her she makes it real short. we are best friends in high school!
and he has always been a good friend to me... he even called me beautiful...
when i told him on the instant messenger that I think that after 8 years i don't think that we would know each other, he replied..
"thats sad... i want to cry"
Is there a chance that because he wants to know me in 8 years that perhaps he likes me more than a friend?

Well i have this boyfriend. Hes really cute and especially really sweet. Im in 7th grade & hes in 6th grade. Also i really really like him... he calls me everyday && hes just so sweet. Anyway we stay after school all the time together && we hug all the time && stuff but b4 he told me he was ganna kiss me && told me 2 meet him at his locker. So i went & he was gone is that a sign of something && also today we sttayed after school (but not together) && i saw him just standing with this girl && his friend...he looked at me and saw me but didnt bother 2 come && say hii. And today i was waiting 4 him to call && he didnt. So i texted him && i got nothing back so i called him twice and nobody picked up. Im not sure if he ignored my call or what becuz it was after 9:30p.m. && his dad dont let him talk after. But yesterday he talked to me from 7:30p.m. until 11:30p.m. So now im confused. Im not sure if he likes me cuz he told me a million times he does && i told him too. So what should i do????

I have been "dating" this guy for about 6 weeks. I say "dating" because when I said that to him, he freaked out and said that we're just "hanging out" and then proceeded to say that he's afraid of committment, but that he wants to "hang out" with me and see where this goes. Well since then, a huge part of me has stopped liked him b/c i'm not the type of girl that is into just "hanging out" with no committment, so I've decided to end it. I also feel like he's being a little too shifty, meaning he wants me, but wants to keep his options open. Now, we were never officially bf/gf, meaning we never told others we were together, even though we knew we kind of were. So even though we have been "dating" for 6 weeks, I feel like I need to end it with him. I really don't wanna see him and I definitely don't wanna do it over the phone. So, this friend suggested doing it over aim and i know it's rude, but I guess im asking if it's ok, esp. since we were never officially in a relationship?

This guy that I am dating now (not boyfriend yet) is extremely quiet and aloof most of the time. But actually he is just shy. What is bothering me is he is extremely friendly to this girl in school. He actually goes up to talk to her and runs after her to chat when he sees her in front of him. He laughs easily with her. Sometimes they behave like close friends or more the way they talk to each other. This is really odd because he DOES NOT behave this way with any other person, even I sometimes.

Don't tell me to ask him about her. I can't at this stage without looking possessive and jealous.

Do you think they are more than friends? or am I paranoid?

Well I've know this person scince I was well 2 years old but jusrt recently like last year we really started spending more time toghther and I've notcied that I like him. And I before that I sorta kinda felt that he liked me before...but now he is constantly talking to my bestfreind which he strated liking last year and they told each otehr they like each other. They have weird names for each other like " boo" and "jiji" and stuff...And he calles her boo and stares at her and he calls me his home skillet biscut and tries to sit by me only when she is not there...and know things are akward becuase well...he is head over heels for her and she likes him shoudl I tell him I like him or forget it or do what? I'm sop confused abt this cuz now well things are diffrent...and im crazy abt him!!!
