There is this girl I like who is 1 grade below me. I'm wondering would it be weird to like a girl a grade below me and maybe a few months younger? Also,Since I don't really know her much would it be a good procediure to talk to her and get to know her?

No it wouldn't be weird a grade is just a number and my parents are 12 years a part and they have been married for 7 or 8 years yeah it might be good to get to know her and make sure you acually like her for who she is and not by looks and if you don't then just be friends and remember your age and grade are both just numbers

If you like someone age wouldn't matter to and you wouldn't look at the grade. It would best if you talked to her more and maybe get to know her.....when you two are alone and all the pressure is off and you can be more comfortable.

just try to be friends first then take it from there. its not weird to like a girl a grade below you, as long as you like her for the right reasons.

It is alright to like her. You should start a small conversation with her. Then, gradually start talking to her more. Become her friend before just asking her out. Things will go smoother that way. (plus you never know, she may be fascinated that someone in a higher grade shows interest in her)

I think so...I have been out with guys that were 3 years to 2 years older than me. We got to know eachother and we dated. I dont think there is anything wrong with it unless you are legal and the other isnt. Just remember that she is younger and might not want the same things you do...trust me I know this.

Yes. Get to know her first. Use some really lame escuse to get talking to her. Something like, "Hey dont you live by me?" Or maybe, "Do you know so and so?" Those usually work. After she knows you a bit, go ahead and ask her out.

i'd say go for it. my friend went out with an eighth grader when she was in sixth grade. so go. and im trying to be like her. going out with a dude in eighth! = ) and age is just a number so who cares. if you ask many parents a parent is going to be a couple years older. or at least a couple months older.

well it is ok if u wanna hook up with her just get to know her and everything because u might not know everything about her and then if u go with her maybe u find out that u really didn't like and u were wasting ur time
