There is this guy that I "stalked" for a period of time.....and well I found out from him that he would actually have considered going out with me (or atleast being my friend!) if I hadn't have met him in such an unconventional way (also....my age.) How do I change his mind??? I really like him (AAAaaaaaaawwwgggg I Looooove him!!!!)

I am dating an older woman who I have been friends with for awhile, she is totally in to me . She came to NY from SC to see me and doesn't ask anything of me, she even paid for my plane ticket to fly to SC, BECAUSE i AM MOVING BACK THERE. What can I do to meet older women. Everything seems to be geared to young people. Just because we're older, that doesn't mean we're dead. We still have feelings, we still have needs. Do older women just lose interest in romance, or do they just give up and stay at home?

A couple of times in my life, I've asked women out by way of email.

What I don't get is this: Why don't they answer?

I'm not saying anything disrespectful or rude, just a general invite out.

What I get back is nothing. Not a yes, not a no, nothing.

In the most recent case, I had met a Korean woman through two mutual friends. The four of us had dinner together. The Korean woman seemed interested in going out with me, giving me her email and phone number. We discussed the kind of stuff we like to do, and more or less had chosen bowling as an activity.

So this week when I asked her out, I got no response. What's going on, and what should I do next?

Am I obligated to even show up at the bowling alley?

I have been dating my bf for the past year and a half. I think he is an amazing guy when he is not active. He has been through an inpatient program and is now entering a longer one. I am still not sure that he has hit his bottom and is not just doing this to avoid years of jail time. I am attending alanon and private counseling which help a little but I sitll have faith that he can do it. He is a very smart guy and very talented. I don't want to give up but others are telling me its hopeless. I have gone to NA Meetings and heard others share their stories of being clean for years 20+. I think if others can, he can for sure. I know I am powerless over his addiction/recovery, but should I be supportive? Should I wait? What else can I do to get help while he is going through this?
