Because everyone has an urge to have that intimate connection with someone, wither its through sex or just being close someone.
We all need and deserve a companion in life because loneliness is the worst emotion to feel.

its a human emotion and desire , that occurs no matter what happens. Your body, mind, hormones finds someone attractive, your brian doesnt really take it into account like learning, its a natural reaction.
Sex connects two people together, and the more people spend time, touching etc, they more an emtional and unseen tie links these two people.
The happiest couples, and longest running couples, are those who spend time together when they can, touching, and showing affection, but retaining their independence so they have their other side of their emotions entertained of freedom.

Sex being apart of us ,our instincts to look for the strongest,smartest mate to love,make love to is the purest form of our basic instincts,just like air,water,food. love making to someone who you love is like a fine wine you open,savor all the taste,aromas,complex + simple pleasures that it takes to make ones sex life with mate full bodied,robust,taste off them lingers on your lips and the after thought leave you thirsting for more of the same.
