Pet names are between 2 people, it is totally up to the 2 of you if you decide on having pet names for each other. I think it is something that girls do like and i also think guys like it to.

Absolutly we like them. I love it when my fiance calls me pet names. But when dating, the relationship should be established some before the pet names come into play.
