Singles & Dating - 2 March 2007

ok, i've known this boy since middle school and i am 22 now. he got in contact with me through myspace and told me to call him. he tells me he wants to be with me (even though he rejected me back then), and i was confused. he apologized and said he was a player back then, but now, he wants to be in a serious relationship. he smokes (i hate that!), but says he is gonna stop soon. and he has a kid too (i'm not feeling that either), but i can tell he has changed by how he speaks to me that he is serious. anyway, my question is, what would you do?? i want to give him a chance, but do you think i am making a bad decision??

My girlfriend of 3 years and I just broke it off and she is saying things like, "I could go out and date someone else right now, and be with them for 3 months but I would have to leave them because I know I wouldn't be happy". And things like "I saw myself marrying you" and "I don't see myself with anyone else for the rest of my life".

But then says but "I just dont feel it right now, I want to.. but i dont"

Tell me, is it over for good? Has anyone ever said these things to a guy only to found out thats not how you truely feel? I'm ok with us being apart now, but it hurts bad to think that we will never be together again... Just wondering if anyone else has any experiences like this and it worked out positively(as in you got back together) thanks

I am in a relationship and I love him so much but I am really scared that I am being played. He is terrible on a computer (always getting in trouble, if you know I mean). He earned my trust again but now I am sensing by little things that he is converting back to that same ole same ole. I am not stupid on a computer , and he tries to cover his tracks but I still know. When asked about the sites--he lies about it. And its the little things that dont add up--- history cleaned,web cam has always been turned facing the wall-- now its facing where you sit. Now this actually sits on the monitor-- not like it can get moved by accident. He has thrown a fit about my old messenger list having guys names on there that I had way before he came into my life-- so I changed screen names and cancelled accounts. But he still has women on his (who he says they live far away and he never talks to them) and he is still on dating sites.He is just acting funny. He asked me to marry him.Am I being played?

I got a job doing stuff/working on a house my dad is renting out. The woman renting the house is an incredibly attractive single mother around my age... a little older (I'm 21, shes 27).

I've been spending the entire day with this woman 3 days a week, and we get the opportunity to talk a lot. She's a little flirtacious with me, but I brush it off.

I'd never do anything with her, and I'm sure my girlfriend knows this, but she's still jealous (I'm sure I wuld be jealous too in a similar situation)... I want to ease her jealousy.

I had a hot bath with rose petals in/on the water and tealight candles all around the tub with a glass of wine waiting for her when she came home. Well, as she was sitting in the tub, and I reached over to wash her back and accidentally knocked a candle into her lap and it singed a few of her hairs, she got mad and hasn't spoken to me since. Is she overreacting?

OK. The situation is we hit things off, going great. When it comes to a connection/committment, I get the sense she isn't ready. Things get rocky. One day she tells me she needs to be on her own. We continue to talk. Any time anything regarding "relationship" talk comes up, she gets anxious, anxious enough that she alludes to ending all contact w/ me. Fast forward several months to now, we are talking daily, we have a relationship, one where there is at least enough trust that I will see her often and talk daily, which is a huge step from before X-mas time. Thing is, I don't know what, if anything, I have done or am doing differently now and am having trouble shaking the idea that I want to know what she sees differently about me and us now. Should I ask or just leave well enough alone and take it for what it is now? I am not interested in a fling w/ her. I want something serious.

I have been seeing someone for over a month and he really seems to like me, I like him, too. We both got out of relationships 6 months ago. So, I know I am a bit afraid to start something new... I feel that he may, too. However I don't want to just have a "thing" without meaning. Tempting to just tell him that it is over just because I am afraid to be hurt... Although I can't just end it. He has been good to me and I have never had that! We get along so well. I don't know what to do. I have been hurt so much by the bad guys before.... Now, I suppose what scares me the most is being hurt by a good guy. If you can help I will be very greatfull!
