ok, i've known this boy since middle school and i am 22 now. he got in contact with me through myspace and told me to call him. he tells me he wants to be with me (even though he rejected me back then), and i was confused. he apologized and said he was a player back then, but now, he wants to be in a serious relationship. he smokes (i hate that!), but says he is gonna stop soon. and he has a kid too (i'm not feeling that either), but i can tell he has changed by how he speaks to me that he is serious. anyway, my question is, what would you do?? i want to give him a chance, but do you think i am making a bad decision??

first of all, do you like this person at all? if you do maybe hes right, maybe he has changed. i would give him about two chances. if the first date goes well it would probably lead to a second date. then i would need to decide: is he the same person or has he changed? only you can decide if you made the right or wrong decision.

My advice is follow your heart if you think they he is worth a try and it wont hurt you in the end then i think you should you ahead and see how things work.if smoking is his only flaw then that's not bad at all because he cant quit that. and as far as him having a child you shouldn't hold that against him. and if he really has changed then you don't want to miss out on a good man because he already has a child and plans to quit smoking. You'll never know unless you try. Good Luck

i was in a situation similar as yours. I rejected him and i felt guilty for it for some weeks. But i met a guy in a month that really loved me and he treated me like a queen and i suddenly felt so happy that i rejected him because i could lose this opportunity and end up with a person that i didn't love so much.

If you really care 4 him take him w/ open arms.... Its a start which could be something beautiful. Be open w/ him & honest.... Good Luck Any decision has good and bad things ... Hope 4 the good!!!!

I think giving him a chance would be idea...I mean he might have a kid and he might smoke but that doesn't make him a bad guy...and you never know what you might have unless you give it a shot....

i does not want you to do something. enable the guy make the strikes. case in point, what if he in basic terms misplaced interest? adult men lose interest for no reason. That way if he pursues you, then you definately comprehend he's involved. If not, somebody else will have an interest, so no sweat.
