leave her if you want to. You can't be responsible about how she reacts. She needs to get help. Part of life is dealing with break ups. I think if she's seriously suicidal she should be in a mental institution.

You're in a tricky situation, and I'm glad I'm not you........

Okay, the thing is, you can't live your life and make all of your decisions based on what your girlfriend may or may not do to herself.

I do think you should be prudent, though, and perhaps make sure there is someone available to help her through this time, or at least to keep a close eye on her. Regardless, she needs to get help from a professional.

I would also suggest you practice as much tact as you can muster up. She doesn't need to know that you have the hotsies for some other chick. You should also practice some self-control. In her mental state, she could be VERY difficult during the break-up process, but try to keep in mind the circumstances and keep your own rude or uncalled for comments to yourself.

I've suffered with depression for as long as I can remember, and I've had my moments of suicidal tendancies. I can promise you, this is not about you, but she may think it is while she's in it. She really does need to get help, though. The "normal" response to being broken up with is to sit and watch Jerry Springer all day and eat a whole carton of Rocky Road ice cream, not to slit your wrist or swallow a whole bottle of Ambien. Encourage her to get the help she needs. That will help her for the rest of her life, not just for the grieving period of a broken relationship.

I'll say again, though, you should not live your life in fear of what she will do, and if she does harm herself, God forbid, it was not due to anything you did. Depression and "mental instability" is a powerful disorder that affects the way you interpret every aspect of your life, and it causes a person to lose perspective and the ability to empathize. They see the world in regards to how it hurts them, without the ability to see what their actions does to others.

Best of luck to you.

If she had stated she became only playing kinky i could settle for that so a lot more suitable positive than her affirming she would not save in ideas something. A blackout??? she has some severe subject matters. it truly is in reality been a month, no longer lengthy sufficient to forge a lengthy-lasting courting so shrink your losses before she cuts your head off!! only sayin'

suicide is no reason to stay with her if she is using that as if you leave me i'll kill myself garbage she's probably bluffing. shes miserable too yanno or she wouldnt be saying these things she knows you aren't happy as you would like to be and is scared your going to leave and even if you stay this wont change she will always assume anyday now your going to leave. I suggest you warn her family first and say look she and i aren't working out but i don't want things to get escalated so i prefer to talk to her in front of one of you so that you can help her thru it. and leave her politely with a caring hand. Move on with your life positively..

Ouch! that puts you in a wierd situation. My brother was in the same situation at one time. Explain to her how you feel and everything then make sure that her family members know whats going on so they watch her make sure shes safe.. in time she'll move on and she'll be fine.

Well by all means stay with her and ruin YOUR life.
Tell a family member that you will be moving on and that she needs to be watched. Too much DRAMA. Move on.

dump her, she wont commit suicide but she will annoy you afterwards for a while of how "depressed" she is feeling. Why be unhappy when you dont need to be.
