I had a hot bath with rose petals in/on the water and tealight candles all around the tub with a glass of wine waiting for her when she came home. Well, as she was sitting in the tub, and I reached over to wash her back and accidentally knocked a candle into her lap and it singed a few of her hairs, she got mad and hasn't spoken to me since. Is she overreacting?

Now Seahawk, wouldn't the water have put out the fire? She should just shave it off and quit bickering!

Ha ha.. that reminds me of a story... My boyfriend at the time did the same thing. He drew a warm bath with rose petals and candles. He even had my favorite CD playin in the bathroom, for when I got home for work. But when I got home, the house started to reak of burnt plastic and was getting very smokey.

Turns out he put a candle on top of the CD player which melted the plastic, rendering my favorite CD and CD player as garbage.

I didn't get mad tho. I gave him a A for effort and laughed at the irony of the whole thing.

I think you g/f is overreacting. It was an accident, and it is the thought that counts.

I think it depends, we may not know the full story, but it certainly sounds like a gross overreaction to me! You sound like you were trying to do something nice and romantic for her and now she has acted like a crazy by not talking to you for days. I would tell her that it is time you spoke ab out the problem and I wish you much luck with that as she sounds a little unreasonable.

Yes. It was an accident and she is being selfish and immature to throw a hissy after you tried to do something so nice for her. Sounds like she is high maintenance and you might want to consider finding another woman who will appreciate your gestures and not go over the deep end over something so trivial.

I believe that she's upset over something which has something to do with you. You might have done something wrong to her unknowingly before this incident happened. Try to figure out what you did wrong to her, otherwise forget about things and try to cool things down between you two by asking her out.

No, girls love their hair, all you can do is say you are sorry and pay for a decent hair cut for her if it is that bad, but she is proberly embrassed that that happened. just try to say sorry and make it up to her (this time without the candles)

forgive and forget, try again now with candle, show her that nothing is perfect and use humor. It makes everything ease.

It's her fault not yours. You didn't throw a candle on her. Give her time and she will stop being angry.
