Singles & Dating - 26 February 2007

I have been with my boyfriend for about 6.5years now and we want to settle down. My family like him but not for me(as hes a nice guy but i can do better for a life partner). They think im too good for him and i deserve someone who is a bit more focused and capable.

We both have fairly good,full-time permanent jobs( im an accountant and hes a chef). They keep telling to think before i go ahead and things that confuse me even more and upset me.

I have always been very close to my family and respect what they tell me...but im torn.

Have any of you been in this predicament before and what are your thoughts????

I told this girl I had a crush on her. She was pretty shocked because I'm just so good at hiding the way I feel.

But she said no, and after that, things got real awkward between us. And now I've just heard that she's told all her friends about me, and now they all laugh everytime they see me!

She never answers my calls and the other night I saw her with another guy!! If she likes me, she's got a funny way of showing it.

Ok, I've been seeing this girl for about a year and a half and seems like everyother day she's asking me to marry her. She knows i've been through a bad divorce and am very leary of a relationship of any kind. I love being around her but feel that she's pinning her entire future on my marrying her. My boyfriend who has been having a stressful time at work, is going through a major career change, looking for a new job as he's unhappy with his current one is upset with me. He explained to me that he is under a lot of stress and pressure and he said he might not be as available as normally. I said I will let him focus but I did not, I called him, I texted him, I cried and questioned him about his feelings and the relationship. At first he was patient but then he got upset with me 2 days ago as I told him that I dont feel special. He has two big interviews coming up near my city and he told me that we will meet then but this was prior to him getting upset with me for my neediness. I said I was sorry but he said that I always say that but nothing ever changes. He said it's really hard for him. I did not hear from him since yesterday. I said I will give him the time to concentrate but I worry so much that I upset him and pushed him away. I want to contact him but should I?

hi. i like this girl a lot but she is with another guy in a long term relationship. She likes me too. We all live in an apartment together. I have a strong feeling towards her. We even kissed when her bf was out of station. Now after he returned she is happy with him and i can not see them being together . their romance makes me jealous and i can not even sleep . somehow i managed to took courage to tell her how i feel. but she says she is with him " i can not do anything" what does this mean? ...

I can't help it but my gf keeps saying that I have a body of a masculine (strong/built) man but a face of a cute baby boy!

Sometimes I don't want to be called a 'boy' but she keeps on insisting! I know society pressures most men to look more masculine... but I feel that no matter what.. I will always look like some

i think i'm overreacting when i am near the guy i like..
yesterday, another guy called me a "brat".( i think he was kidding, but im not sure.)and the guy i like heard it. i was hurt a little, but looking back, i think it was because i was not acting like.... me. i'm more conservative usually, but yesterday.. i think i went too far with the teasing..
i feel so guilty and i'm afraid that the guy i like won't like me as much as i like him. what can i do? i see him only 3 times a week. :(

p.s. it was another guy that called me a "brat", not the guy i like.

There is this girl that I like and I can sense she likes me because we talk on instant messenger alot, we text one another alot. If we dont meet up she gets upset that she didnt get a chance to see me. Recently I asked her to be my date to my formal that I have, she said yes. After we broke up my ex said we would still be friends. He would still talk to me and hang out with me and our friends. But then he started to avoid me. It's gotten to the point where I'll walk up to our friends and he'll just turn his back on me. He won't even look at me. He dosn't talk to me at all. He won't go to any of the after school clubs we were both in before either, and won't tell his best friend why he decided to quit. We had a pretty mutual break up, he just didn't want to be with me anymore and I didn't plan on staying in a relationship where I wasn't wanted. I never did anything to hurt him. He has told me he dosn't love me anymore and that he never wants to be with me again over e-mails so I know he dosn't have feelings for me. So why can't he just be my friend? I'm not trying to get him back, but it makes things kind of weird when hes avoiding me and I don't want to lose a friend. Maybe I can fix it if I know why hes being like this. Any ideas?

Well I have this bf and he is not much of a prince to me, well, i mean when he's ready he is. But sometimes he kind of gets me really mad by the way he treats me sometimes but I like him to much to let him go.
