Singles & Dating - 1 February 2007

The other day, my girlfriend, of almost 9 months said, "I love you" to me. I told her that I loved her about one month ago, but she didn't say it back. Anyway, since she has said those three words, I've been scared. I'm not scared to commit to her, but I'm scared that I can't give her and her beautiful daughter the life she deserves. I think about all the irresponsible decisions I've made in my life, and I can't help but think that I'm going to mess something up in this relationship. I want to have kids, but I'm afraid that I'd be a bad father because of my bad upbringing. I'm not a very social person, but I try my damndest. This woman means the world to me. Are my feelings of fear normal? I'm in this for the long haul, but I just doubt myself. I don't want her to know how scared I am because it may push her away from me.

my mate hasn't got a girlfriend so i decided not to take mine when we go out to-night for his birthday. Now i feel very mean, as her cousin goes out with my other mate and he's bringing her along too. My girl feels left out, not sure what to do. I love her very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her cousin and my girl are very close and this had caused problems before. I think it is my other mate just causing problems, what do you think?

there was this guy i was friends with for awhile and i began to like him A LOT.

then this girl came up to me (i know her a little bit but not really close to) and tells me she really likes this guy. i found out it was the same guy i liked. i did NOT tell her i liked him too.

anyway, he asked me out and i said yes. i asked him if he knew about that girl liking him and he said yea he knew but he wants to be with me not her.

i believe him, but should i tell this girl that we're dating? my boyfriend wants me to tell her because she's always calling him and he doesnt have the guts to tell her to stop and i dont either! shes a really nice girl but has serious emotional problems. should i tell her or my boyfriend? or do i just let her find out by herself?

so this boy likes me and i like him. but he keeps getting my friend to ask me out for him. i want to say yes but im like im in the 8th grade were not in elem. school if he wants to go out with me and if he like me that much then he needs to be a man about it and ask me out. i want to say yes but then again i dont. i want him to ask me out and stop getting my friends to do it for me. what should i talk to him or what? this is an easy 10points for good advice

I am 46 and have been dating/living with a well educated and overall financially supportive man for 15 yrs. When we first dated he told me he did not think I would be a good mother. As time passed he stopped sleeping with me and then after that I no longer wanted to sleep with him. His sister has suffered schizophrenia as has my Mom. He tried to break up with me at yr 5 and did in yr 11. He wanted to live together again 2 yrs later. I am thinking of fertility treatment in a last effort to have a child and am considering another man for whom I have romantic feelings. My partner thinks, as I, that we are a bad genetic match. He says we are too old and he does not want to be saddled with fertility $ which probably wont work due to my age and college $ for a child that is adopted or of another man. He wanted a baby 10 yrs ago with someone else. Some say have a baby with him 'cause then he would $. He says I have changed and he has grown to love me and see I am good in his life. (?)

We had a really nice time, he asked me if I'd like to go out again sometime - I said yes. That was Tuesday - now it's Thursday and he hasn't asked me out again yet. Should I wait for him to call or can I call him and thank him for the date ?

My b.f. and I are constantly fighting. I love him dearly. But, I'm not sure if he loves me anymore. We go to his friends house and he sits and cuddles with his 12 year old daughter. Plays with her hair asks if shes ready to leave.....never even notices I'm alive. She is failing school. But he refuses to disipline her cause he says she has enough problems he don't want to add to it. And now he uses sex as punishment for me if I do or say ANYTHING to her. I asked him to go away with me friday....he said NO! He will go away with his friends at work but not me. Should I just give up and move on? BTW....we live together and that makes things worse. Help!!

okk! so i really like this guy but im worried i scared him off.. i invited him to come to this dance here in my town this weekend and he couldnt so i said..hmm.. then what are you doing on the 16th and he said i dont know so i invited him to come to this semi-formal at my school and he said haha i duno yet tho, and then he said he had to go..ever since then he hasnt been talking to me much..on msn its just one word answers..im not sure if i need to break the ice more or something..ice breakers would be helpful and how i can maybe fix this..please help..i really want him to come to the semi too..its not like i said with me..just to come to it..i dunno what to do

im not being funny but i am a pretty ok person, quite sociable and really love people in general but i dont really know what your supposed to do to make friends anymore, im quite conservative and not that i think its bad, but i wouldnt want to go to singles stuff or meet a friend.com or whatever because you dont know who you are meeting and they tend to be men! and though i love men, i just want more girlfriends, hope this doesnt sound silly

I decided to get to know this girl that always sits next to me in class (for about 4 weeks now), i decided to talk to her and get to know her better. At first she was playing with her hair when we started chatting. She greeted my conversation with a smile and seemed genuinely interested in the conversation.Then the professor started lecturing and she was fidgeting with her earrings, playing with her hair (grooming...?) and passively bitting her nails the entire time.

What do you guys/gal think? (That was yesterday)

UPDATE: Today we talked more freely and we had a pretty engaging conversation. She laughed at everything i said, funny or not. She wasn't afraid to invade my personal space and look at my notes either.

What are the chances she's already taken?

About 3 months ago i was geting evicted i couldnt pay my rent, i have been talking to a guy and we had become friends, he call me the day i got evicted and invited me for dinner. Well i explain to him that i couldnt pay my rent anymore and my boyfriend have bail out before i got evicted because he didnt want to help with the rent and i told him to get out my life if he couldnt help, my friend found a place for us since he was renting a room he wanted more proivacy also and we rented a house together. The problem is my friends boss is not paying him for 1 month now and i told my friend to quit that job and he dont want to, he is mad because he is not getting pay but i am the one covering all the expenses and he didnt pay any of his last month, he is a very nice guy but i dont want to end up with another eviction notice and unpaid bills, i dont know what to do!

I dreamt that my parents threw me a birthday party inviting all of the people I graduated high school with. I had particular feelings for Ryan, but he didn't seem to notice me at all. It also seemed as though Josie was trying to ruin my party and make me miserable. I confronted her and asked her intentions behind all of the evil things she did. She told me she hated that I had the attention of every guy at the party, especially Ryan's. I let it slip that I was crazy about him. If he'd just give me a chance, I'd be content.
