im not being funny but i am a pretty ok person, quite sociable and really love people in general but i dont really know what your supposed to do to make friends anymore, im quite conservative and not that i think its bad, but i wouldnt want to go to singles stuff or meet a friend.com or whatever because you dont know who you are meeting and they tend to be men! and though i love men, i just want more girlfriends, hope this doesnt sound silly

well iv moved 2 sheffield from skegness and up sheffield i only had 2 mate but now got alot more i made myn at work we go out all the time

join a club - maybe a free one like a walking group
go to the library
borrow a dog and go for walks - dog walkers always speak to each other
evening classes
'accidentally' bump into someone in the supermarket
remember - other people may think that you are not approachable so why not make the first move with an innocent comment - anywhere you are among people - 'freezing weather'
don't be afraid to ask for help - that can help break the ice
may have to pay - but an advert in the paper worded corectly would be worth a try - but follow the safety rules before you meet anybody

doesn't sound silly at all, there is nothing can beat a good night out with your girlfriends, i would be lost without mine
You could maybe try joining a gym, and doing some of there classes, there are always girls at those or you could try socialising more with the people you work with, arrange a night out with everyone from your work (don't need a reason for a party) and that way you can get to know the people you are with. hope you get some good friends some, a girl is no where without her girlfriends, am i right or am i right!?! lol, xxx
