Singles & Dating - 25 January 2007

Okay, first off, I'm a 17 year old teenage girl and my girlfriend's mom refuses to let me see her now. Of course, there are two little factors working against us, the first being that this is a long-distance relationship---she lives two hours away---so I can't exactly just meet her out in public. The other problem being that she is two years younger then me.

What should I do?

Theres this girl in my class, she one of those girls that looks cool to hang out with. I just need a reason or excuse to go up and start a conversation with but i dont know what to talk about. Telling my parents?

my best friend (mark) is good friends with all these people in a band. one of those people in the band are named John. Mark called me with John on the other line. We talked for a while, and Mark showed John my myspace. Apparently, he thinks I am "insanely hot" and was talking to Mark about how bad he wants to "bone me." I was joking around on the phone and told John I'd give him a lapdance if he gave me and some friends a ride to the movies. So i probably led him on or something. Because I don't do things like that. Mark is having a party on Saturday and the whole band is going to be there. I'm afraid this guy John is going to try something on me and I'm not sure how to handle this. I've heard some bad things about John also, that he's an alcoholic and has a bad home-life. I know the typical answer is to "not go" to the party but I'm going to eventually meet this guy John somewhere because he's friends with a lot of people I know. And I really want to go to this party. what to do?

I have recently been making my complaint known regarding how it seeems that girls never want to give a nice guy a chance.

my bestfriend ciarra and i have been bestfriends since we were 6 years old
now were 14 years old.well anyway me and her brother have been really good
friends since i knew ciarra,i've liked him ALOT ever since we first met.
now i think i really love him i mean i've known him for 8 almost 9 years.

It is this girl that I love, I am not sure if she likes me or not. Each time I talk to her she and give her a face she starts acting like shes a big ****. When I ignore her for example the only time I talk is only when she asks a question and I answer one word and just never open up a conversation, she comes and trys to flirt and starts talking and all that.

In the begining she used to look at me and smile, and I would smile back. I thought she looks very pretty and has a nice smile. So I talked to her and found out alot of things about her. I'm a salesrep and travel all over the place. I have a customer I really like and asked her to dinner last week. It wasn't exactly like a date but we spent most of 2hrs talking about just stuff and not business. She was smiling, I made her laugh and we had a good night. At the end she said she had a good time. I didn't really push too much but I think I gave her signals that I liked her. I wanted to call her a couple days later but I don't want to create an awkward relationship so I chickened out and sent an email with some business related stuff and then told her I really enjoyed our time together and hoped we could do it again. I didn't get a reply to that and today sent another business related message which she did reply to. I'd swear she gave me some positive signs and I'm sure I should have called but tell me, what can I do to find out if I should persue this without creating a problem with our business relationship???
