Here in America some states have lotteries. I'm torn though, on one hand I don't think the government should be involved with gambling. On the other hand it is a tax on stupidity.

well there was this woman from Ireland who had NEVER played the lottery in her life, and this ONE time she put a £1.50 down and won £77 million on euro millions...so yeh it is possible to win on just a quid fifty.....it all boils down to luck

I know someone who won £1,000,000. I dont enter for each draw but I do have the occasional ticket. Someone has to win it.........I just wish the money went to more deserving causes such as the health service.

It is a tax on the poor , nothing more.
I also hate how they give lottery grants to a load of ballet dancing poofs in tights.

You have to be in it to win it, as they say. Ok, you've got more chance of being struck by lightning, but where's the harm?
