there are dozens of answers for you question my friend, it is too vague and needs more detail in order for people to help you out. but here's some tips:
1. people find it hard to let go of something they once had. you feel it too you know, its like loosing a pet or having your bestfriend move to a far distant place.
the tricky part here is that people mostly don't appreciate what they have only until they loose them.
you see, her new boyfriend could have started out as an attraction or false love. or she is finding something from her new boyfriend when what she is looking for is you and she just don't know it, hence she looks for you.
you better keep your distance, there is a tendency that the guy will eventually know your name and might get jealous.
2. she does'nt want to feel guilty.
abandoning someone can really drag you down you know. the feeling of guilt or shame could have been making less romantic or is keeping her out of concentration and she can't work.
you should also keep your distance, let her handle herself its all about her anyway. she can manage it.
3. she misses your company.
it is very possible that she has really found the love of her life with her new boyfriend and yet she misses you because somehow you are not only a former lover but also a friend. this is the option or explanation that i like.
i have been friends with my ex's myself but not to the point on trying to contact them after the break up. well, its different with women i guess.
just don't mind her, it will pass. believe me.
4. this is the dreadful part.
she loves you and she wants to come back.

She either feels bad about what she has done.
Or she just wants you there as the back up guy. If not these two maybe she just does.
If she is keeping this from your friend like the guy in the cell phone commercial (fave 5-"secret lovers") then that's not cool/right.

I think she still has feelings for you and feels guilty. She probably dying in the other relationship and truly wants to rekindle ya'lls love or she just really wants to be friends and tryna make sure that you don't have any hatred for her ya know. If you really wanna know you should tell her to be honest with you and ask her. I really think it's either one of the two.

B/c she still feels emotionally attached to you and still has feelings for you even tho you may not, it is a natural thing. B/c me and my ex are friends now but still have feelings towards each other. It nothing real big but just remember, first chance shame on her, second chance shame on me, and there is no third chance.

i think she still wants u......& know she f-ed up & lost a good thing....& whats to have u as a "friend" so if it doesnt work out with the current boyfriend she can go back to u,.......thats just me...but u can always ask her & let her know that she needs to let go so u can move on good luck & god bless

Maybe b/c she honestly knows you're a good friend. I know if I broke up with my b/f I would want to be friends with him just cuz hes a great guy. If you don't want to be friends though, I would let her know so that its easier for you to move on.

She wants to make herself feel less bad about hurting you, and maybe keep you around as a fallback plan. I'd say a clean sever is in order.
