Singles & Dating - 15 November 2006

Ok here's the deal. I've been dating my wonderful boyfriend for about 9 monthes now, and his birthday is coming up. i have no idea on what to get him for his birthday! I kinda feel like a horrible girlfriend for not being able to pick anything out but he's not picky at all, in anyway, so that alone is hard to pick something out, but on top of that i really want to give him somethign special. So I really need ideas! PLEASE HELP!

here are some details to help you guys give me some ideas

He likes several football teams so i dont know which team to pick out because im scared he would want the other team more then the one i picked out, and i think football is really the only sport he likes.
I only have around $150 dollar budget so it cant be too expiensive, but i want it to be nice

My friends think this guy likes me right. He stares at me during class, trys to make me laugh, and we have the same things in common. He like flirting with me and teases me. Also when he friends ask him if he likes me it takes him like 3 minutes to answer.The only thing is it seems like he flirts with other girls. Is he trying to make me jelous or what? Does he like me or not?
i am afriad to go ask him because of wht people might say. i usually dont care what they think but for this paricualar reason i do care

I'm not ugly, but I have braces. I keep my mouth super-clean 24/7, and use gum and breathmints 24/7, keep up the hair, makeup, clothes, everything... but I'm still very insecure about talking to guys because I have braces! What do they think about girls with braces? I've been told I'm pretty, but I honestly can't know if my braces stand in the way. Honest opinions, please!

Ive been talking on the phone/hanging out with a girl that I really like. She has a boyfriend.. but things are kind of on the rocks between them and she seems interested in me, and Ive liked her for a while.

When we talk on the phone, we talk for like an hour to and hour and a half. When we hang out, Im always trying to think of things to say and what we should do.

Im not looking for advice on how to steal her from her boyfriend, but I at least want to be somewhat interesting when we are hanging out.

What should I say to keep the convo going and what should I suggets we do when we hang out? I live in a pretty bording town, so there arent many places you can go, you have to be creative. Any ideas? Thanks all

so let's say there's this guy Eric. and he is in one of my classes. now i'm really nice to everyone, so i tried being friends with eric this year. and all of a sudden he's helping me with homework, staying after school with me, and he even gave me his phone number and said i should call him if i need more homework help. i doubt he wants anything, cuz he's always staring at me in class too,
right now i was just talking to him online, and he wasn't really replying, so i asked him what was up and he said that he was being distracted, by another girl. so i said he should go talk to her because i'm obviously in the way... and he left. what's that all supposed to mean?

I've just started going out with a girl, and I'm a virgin. Some things worry me, other things don't. There is one thing about sex that worries me, and I'd like some advice on it.

It's really to do with the missionary position. Firstly, I'm worried that I'll crush her. I'm a little over weight, but that's not the point. It's more to do with men being bigger/heavier than women.

Secondly, I'm worried about keeping a rhythm. I don't intend to be drunk, but even sober it worries me.

Lastly, if I lie on top of her, do I do it skin-to-skin or should there be a 'gap' between us if you see what I mean. I'm worried about getting started in my thrusts.

I thought that we could do other positions, but we'd probably do missionary eventually, so it's best to get things sorted.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I met this guy about 2 months ago when he was in town on business. We talked all evening and I felt that we really connected. At the end of the night he kissed me on the cheek and said that he would like to get together the next time he was in town. We talked online at least once a week for about four weeks until he came back to town on business. We had another excellent night together. He told me how much he liked me when he met me, how much he had looked forward to seeing me again etc. He even cancelled his meeting the next day so that we could spend more time together. When he got home that evening after his flight he text to say that he had had a great time. Since then we've been in contact about every four days (we've alternated turns contacting one another). This has gone on for about two weeks. However, it's going on about six days now and I haven't heard from him. He hasn't tryed to talk to me online either. Why hasn't he called? Should I write him off and move on

It's a little more complicated than this but here is pretty much whats happening now.....
I've been dating my boyfriend for 6 years now...we are on the verge of deciding whether or not to get married...see he is in the military and stationed in Germany....so are plans are to get married and just Fianally be together!
But Now because of our bumpy past he still can't find himself to forget what I've done to him! But its not like he's been perfect either! I love him so much and would love to finally share my life with him...So my question is should I keep on trying to make him see how much I truly care about him or should I just throw in the towel and move forward with my life?

in black couples?
I have never ever seen a black couple holding hands or kissing (ect...) in public. I go to a 53% black school and I've noticed over the years that I have yet to see a black couple even holding hands in public!
Is there a reason for this?
Has anyone else noticed?

Okay... so my boyfriend told me that he has been thinking about proposing to me, but he hasn't found a ring yet and says that he won't until he has one. I told him that the ring is not what makes a proposal special, it's the proposal itself and that he is willing to make that commitment, and the love of course! Anyway, my question is... what is the deal with not having a ring yet (like why would that stop him), and how soon do you think he will actually do it, considering the holidays are coming up and all? Also... since someone commented on it... I never brought up the subject of marriage, it was him. I was more concerned about our own personal dreams (what we want for our own lives) than a dream we could share together. We had gone out for 5 1/2 monthes. We're only in high school. He broke up with me i didn't really see it coming but there was no big fight or anything we've always got along good. We'er still friends i talk to him on the phone nearly every night and i still love him. We've been broken up for about 1 1/2 monthes and i asked him out after we had been broken up for a few weeks, because i still liked him and the reasons he had given me didn't really apply anymore. He acts touchy around me and sometimes calles me a tease for doing things, such as acting differently after we broke up. One of the reasons he gave me when we broke up was that i was too innocent, since then i've proved him wrong, although i understerstand how I appeared to be a really goody goody girl. I'm a lot closer to him now and I still really like him, I really want him back, but i don't know if he wants me. I went out with a girl and we had an amazing time. It was so good that we ended up being intimate. She texted me several times saying how much she liked me and wanted to be with me. However, she never called me and everytime I asked her to go out again...she would cancel at the last minute. I tried calling her but she only answered once. A month went by and I finally decided to give up. I sent her one last text saying..."I'm confused. You say you like me but you haven't made an effort to call or see me. I'm not into games, so just let me know what's going on." She never responded. I really liked this girl.
I asked her a few weeks ago to go a wedding with me and she said yes. She even seemed excited about it. The wedding is this Saturday, but I'm sure I'll get stood up by her.
