Singles & Dating - 12 October 2006

I have a male friend that I like and I made the first move and we went out about two weeks ago. The date went well and we agreed to meet again. However, I emailed and suggested that we meet and he returned my email that he will call me. He never did call. Then, I emailed him again about meeting again this week and he never did respond. At this point, I assumed that he is not interested but do not want to tell me. So, I think that he did not like the fact that I actually made the first move.

The guy that I like is older than me. He is in the mid 30s and I am in my late 20s. I am not sure if it is because he is older and may have a more "old school" mentality...

What do you guys think? Should I have never asked him out in the first place? I really like him but I am thinking of moving on because I think that it is just courtesy to call or email if you said that you would...

I've had one for over a year, we always give each other mixed signals on what we want as in terms of seriousness, but of course, me being a girl, I've gotten really attached to him. If he was tired of me by now, he would've ended things along time ago right? He obviously likes me for some reason correct? Has anyone had a serious relationship come out of such a thing? Ok, I've known this girl for about 7 years altogether, since I was 17 and she was 10. The entire time I was with my girlfriend/wife/ex/wife. I've only really known her really well for about 3 years. We hung out for about a year solid (while I was married, me and my wife's mutual friend when she was about 16 and I was 23. For that whole year, she was deeply in love with me. She has been gone for 2 years now due to personal issues in her life that forced her to move cross country. The last thing she ever said to me was "I love you", and I told her I didn't feel the same way. about 1 year later, my wife and I divorced, and I have since reallized that, I am and truly was in love with her also. She is now 18 and I am 25. She is moving back here for good in december, and the suspence is killing me. According to all of our mutual friends, they think that she is probably still in love with me, but I don't know, after all Its been almost 2 years. So what I'm asking is, what do you all think?

I don't think I'm that bad looking, a few extra pounds, but I'm pretty clean cut clean shaven guy at 5' 10'. I think I turn girls off though because i'm pretty cautious and a little shy around people in general. But I think that the reason could be because I think too much and I don't know if girls like men who are shy thinkers.
