Singles & Dating - 10 October 2006

I have been w/my bf for almost a year. We have been friends for over 2. We live together, have dog, & have basically started a life together, etc. We ALWAYS get asked when we are going to get married.

The other day he sent an email out to his friends saying he had something HUGE going on Sunday that he can't wait to tell them about. Everyone assumed he was going to propose. He wasn't. He was launching his online comic. He told me that people were thinking he was going to propose and thought it was HILARIOUS; thinking I would have the same reaction. I didn't. It upset me.

We have had discussions about marriage, and he is a bit of a commit-o-phobe. His mom & step-dad have both been married 3 times, and his dad cheated on his mom (& left him & her 2 days before x-mas). I have the nuclear family. My parents have been married 25 years.

Am I right in being upset? From my perspective it felt like he was laughing at me. He apologized, but I don't think he gets it. What should I do?

to make a long story short...I had a miscarriage (I didn't know i was pregnant) I told the guy that I have been dating for a couple of months now. (to me the miscarriage was a blessing in disguise) He stopped calling me and I did not call him for the sheer reason I did not want him to feel like I was cornering him or something. 2 1/2 weeks later he left me three messages to forgive him, don't hate him, he thinks he loves me, he's happy with me, he doesn't know why he "disappeared" like that, etc,,,
I like this guy alot and I feel so confused because he was just about out of my system and now it's full blown again. I called him but he hasn't returned my call and I think that he left these messages because he was feeling lonely and feeling bad.Does he really feel this way or was having a few drinks and it got to him? See? I just don't know...it's making me nuts!!!

I have to go to a military ball in mid-Nov. I just got back from Iraq and I should be going with my wife but since she was a cheating hooker the year I was in Iraq so I'll be going through the process of divorce by then. Im stationed at Ft Campbell KY which is near Nashville.

Flirting through aggression??????????????
My best friend is always hitting me playfully. She is a girl, I'm a guy, we are 15, and people keep saying she is flirting. Today, for example, she just hit me in the head with a school book (lol) for no reason. We have known each other for 2 years. First off, do you think this actually is her way of flirting? She doesn't do it to other people. And also, what should I do back? Should I also playfully mess around with her?
Is this actually a way of flirting?
Also, when she isn't messing like this, she is more serious to me than others, she tells me if she is feeling bad.

Another thing related to mthis is that when we are around friends, she does this and we playfully mock each other, but when we are alone she is more sincere with me.

I have the option of moving and taking a great job opportunity that I've been dreaming of. I've been wanting to move to a different city for a couple years now, but nothing has ever worked out. Only problem is that I met this wonderful guy that lives where I currently reside and we've been dating for about a month. Things are going really well, no red flags, he has many of the qualities that I want in someone, but since it's still so new, I have no idea if it would work out or not. my bf is a bit younger than me (11 yrs to be exact). our relationship has been good and i've been with him for 2-1/2 years. What does it mean when a girl intentionaly raises her voic, just enough for the guy to hear her clearly as if alledgely attempting the guy to get jealous?? Does this mean she wants the guy to "make his move on her already, so that he wont get left out" kind of thing?

i was really amused because i didn't really feel any amount of jealousy.... it was obvious at my point of view that thier conversation was intentional for me to hear because when i moved away to do something (in the classroom), thier voices
sounds turned down, and turned back a little loud when i came back... i was not the only person in our classroom... we were a crowd full...

ok this may sound like a stupid question but 8 months ago i didnt no her and my mum and her dad met and they got together and now there married and me and my step-sister who i dont c her as that were sitting on the lounge watching a movie we were rubbing feet and our hands slipt together.... and then after awhile we started hugging (nothing else) and everytime step-dad or sis or someone would come out we would sit back up but keep holding hands n im pretty damn sure she likes me back but i dunno what to do i rlly like her and yea so what should i do? plz help
