Singles & Dating - 10 October 2006

My boyfriend and I have known each other and have been off and on for 5 years. Lately, he always has an attitude with me and is always so upset. We fight and argue a lot and when things do start to get better, we end up arguing over something stupid which just escaltes into something big and starts his attitude all over again. I ask him what the problem is and he tells me I don't listen to him, but when I do, he just stays mad. Whenever I try to tell him how I feel about things, he just gets upset and comes back at me with stuff instead of addressing the things I'm saying to him. I hate the way he acts towards me whenever he gets mad about something, he's a whole different person, he's like Dr. Jeckl and Mr. Hyde. He tells me he loves me and wants to be with me, but it seems like it's so hard for him to be nice and show it.I love him with all my heart, but I don't know if I should keep trying to talk to him and keep trying to work things out,or just leave him alone and see what happens

theres this guy i went out with we were together for 2 months but i felt like if it was years...we broked up for the fact that he cheated on me with his ex...but he kept on calling me and texting me he said he liked me but he never showed it to me he said that he didnt wanted to be with me....so wat should i do? should i just mess around with him or what?

I have been dating my GF for 4 months now and I get an uneasy feeling each time she mentions a new guy that she has dated. Is it fine if I just ask her how many guys she has dated and how many she has slept with? Do I have a right to know? I have told her that I have not dated many girls and that I was a virgin when I met her. But she seems uneasy about her situation herself, asking me questions like, what do you consider a lot? And she always gets very defensive when I talk about it, defending herself by saying she is not a s-l-u-t. How do I handle this situation?

Why do guys feel this need to contradict themselves? Why do they act like they love a girl, but never say it. Then they crush her and when she has cried every possible tear and can only ask the final question of "Do you really love me?" they say "No"?

Well my first year of college i was getting over my first bf and love and i met this guy named Matt who was sweet ultra nice /understanding and someone i could talk too but i was not ready for another relationship and his ex.gf had cheated on him and he had issues and was very emotional and depressed a lot of the time.I was also 18 and he was 21and in a band so my parents did not dig this we became friends and dated a little. He later told me he had a drug problem snorting speed , drinking, and smoking. This was a huge turn off and he ended up back in rehab. I met another guy John who i have a lot in common with he is Italian i am Spanish and we both are all about our big familys.It started as a friendship hanging out seeing each other around school and with friends now 6 months he takes really good care of me and makes me feel special.Recently he asked me out but this other guy Matt wants to get back in tough with me and go back out?

Relieved when your relationship is over? What makes you stay with someone so long, until the thought of never seeing them again actually relieves you? Why does it get to that point, instead of the point where you can end things on a good note, and still stomach seeing the person around from time to time?

I have a friend from the college where I graduated in May. She is a Senior this year, and I saw her at a mutual friend's wedding. She was the person I talked to the most at the wedding, and she said she had meant to call but never had the time. We decided one of us would call the other, so I decided to call her to schedule a time to meet and catch up when I visited campus. She was off campus that day, but she called back after getting back to campus. She apologized several times, and she seemed really nervous leaving the message. She said weird things like, "Um…but maybe….next time…….I can…get in touch with you and we can get together and catch up. Um that would be awesome!" and "And have a wonderful day. This is a really long message! *giggles* And enjoy yourself!" Should I ask this girl out, or is she giving me hints to not ask her? I intended to catch up and then maybe suggest a date. What should I do?
