I have a friend from the college where I graduated in May. She is a Senior this year, and I saw her at a mutual friend's wedding. She was the person I talked to the most at the wedding, and she said she had meant to call but never had the time. We decided one of us would call the other, so I decided to call her to schedule a time to meet and catch up when I visited campus. She was off campus that day, but she called back after getting back to campus. She apologized several times, and she seemed really nervous leaving the message. She said weird things like, "Um…but maybe….next time…….I can…get in touch with you and we can get together and catch up. Um that would be awesome!" and "And have a wonderful day. This is a really long message! *giggles* And enjoy yourself!" Should I ask this girl out, or is she giving me hints to not ask her? I intended to catch up and then maybe suggest a date. What should I do?

Ask her. You never know unless you try.

You don't need to ask her out yet. You both agreed to get together and catch up right? See how that goes, if she acts nervous or is flirty you are in.

The key thing is to not show that meeting her again is a priority. If she knows you are all about her, then she knows she has the power and may lose interest. Let her wonder if you might want something more than friends, don't show your hand by asking her on an official date. Meet with her sometime, catch up, and flirt a little but don't make it an official date just yet.

Ask her out. For goodness sake! Just ask her out! She is probably just as unsure as you are. She is sitting at home, wondering if you thought she was funny, or witty at the wedding. She is nervous about calling. She left you a long message because she really wanted to talk, but you weren't able to answer. Leaving you a message is almost like talking to you.

Then again, she could just think it is akward talking after all this time. But I still stick with ASK HER OUT!
