Flirting through aggression??????????????
My best friend is always hitting me playfully. She is a girl, I'm a guy, we are 15, and people keep saying she is flirting. Today, for example, she just hit me in the head with a school book (lol) for no reason. We have known each other for 2 years. First off, do you think this actually is her way of flirting? She doesn't do it to other people. And also, what should I do back? Should I also playfully mess around with her?
Is this actually a way of flirting?
Also, when she isn't messing like this, she is more serious to me than others, she tells me if she is feeling bad.

Another thing related to mthis is that when we are around friends, she does this and we playfully mock each other, but when we are alone she is more sincere with me.

yes she is flirting with you - you're both young, flirting is a new experience so just reciprocate what she's doing as she obviously enjoys your company and teasing you. dont take it too far or she'll think you dont like her..and take it from there! above all...BE CONFIDENT...

I used to do that with a guy I liked in high school and finally we ended up kissing and going out. Ask her out some where just you and her. See if she will go to the movies with as a date and see what happens. Do you have the same feelings for her because that would be really important.
If you don't feel that same way about her and don't mind getting hit on then let her play around. But if you do think there might be a chance of chemistry then ask her out, the guy and I are still friends if that is one of your worries. Hope this helps.

Well sweetheart, it sounds like you are a lucky guy. To have such a friend you are close to.
Yes, she seems to like you very much. If I was you, I would ask her while in your serious quiet times together if she would like you more than just a friend and see what she say. There is no harm in that. Then you know where things stand and so will she. If she likes you more than a buddy, then she also will know where she stands. If she just likes you as a best friend then that is OK too.
Cherish the good that you have. Not many people find such a true relationship even if it is as friends.

Tell her to stop hitting you and use her words. Are you sure she is a girl? Anyway, if a girl hits you on the head with a book, I am surprise you didn't knock her out. So, your a good guy. Seriously, flirting is when a girl punches you lightly on the arm, not with a hard object. Keep her at arms length until she learns to be civilized.

Oh yeah she likes you. Just go with your feelings and just playfully mess around with her to let her know that you kind of like her (if you do of course).

This is what people mean when they say that you can't see what's right infront of you. The answer is yes, she likes you and you'd better act quickly before she thinks you're a dumbasss for not picking up on her obvious signs.

It's obious that she is trying to get your atention and to be noticed by you. And I guess she is doing this so you can make the move but you havent done it yet.

The question is do you like her?

it's either she likes you or she's just comfortable around you. Just be yourself. And be her friend. Let your friendship blossom if it goes deeper then good for you but if it doesnt, then just be happy she's your friend.
