i was with this guy for about eight months on and off...things havnt been working out lately and he's just not someone i should probably be with anymore...but im in love with him...or lust im not sure i just at this point dont see myself with anyone else. I think i may just be holding onto something thats never going to happen again. Ive tried moving to other guys and i have a hard time cuz i compare everyone to hima nd no one seems good enough. I just dont think im ready to move on and into another relationship again. I really need advice on how to move on and just forget about this guy that i once thought was the guy...the perfect guy. help?!?!?

We have dated for years now....I am a bit ashamed to say how long... All he gave me for out latest Anniversary was a small box of truffles (which I enjoyed) and a bottle of conditioner for my hair. For him, I bought the whole set up for Home Brewing ( he is a beer enthusiast..) Which costs me around $250 for everything...Anyway, my concern is that he keeps letting me down on important occassions. I have friends who get cars from their men. Why after so many years... doesn't my man 'hook it up'. Please dont think that I am shallow or materialistic. I only want to feel appreciated. We have enough $ to spend, so that isnt it?

this is my last question...I really dont understand how men talk bad about a woman 24/7. "shes a ho" shes a slut" and then turn around and do the same s@#t. I think its an interesting social commentary when i roll with my homies and there doing their thing that **** is cool....but when a women is looking for what she wants and testing the same waters she's labeled a ho. I reallly like this guy, have shown him I'm interested in him. I am a really nice person - caring , honest, beautiful, great body, simple person, make him laugh a lot, he really enjoys my company.. etc. I've seen him looking at my boobs, and he likes to hold my waist. I've known him for like 4 months now. But we just hang out and that's it. He hasnt asked me out on a real date even once. Why? He had 2 bad relationships where the girls were mean and dishonest to him - even more reason why he should be attracted to me, or want to date me.. right? And I dont see any signs of him wanting to go in that direction either. Why?? It's kinnda frustrating. Please help me understand this side of men.
