We have dated for years now....I am a bit ashamed to say how long... All he gave me for out latest Anniversary was a small box of truffles (which I enjoyed) and a bottle of conditioner for my hair. For him, I bought the whole set up for Home Brewing ( he is a beer enthusiast..) Which costs me around $250 for everything...Anyway, my concern is that he keeps letting me down on important occassions. I have friends who get cars from their men. Why after so many years... doesn't my man 'hook it up'. Please dont think that I am shallow or materialistic. I only want to feel appreciated. We have enough $ to spend, so that isnt it?

lol... honestly that is funny. he is either too cheap or doesnt know what to buy. but i think he probably forgot and rushed to the nearest convenient store he could find and picked up two random items and gave to you (hoping u would be thankful {as the saying goes: "it is the thought that counts"} but if i was in ur position i would be very angry. CONDITIONER!!!! i wouldnt expect too much but that is ridiculous!!! at least u got chocolate

I'm a guy, and I thought the conditioner thing was kind of funny, it would never have occured to me, and if I had gotten that for an anniversary I would have laughed out loud. You might as well have given him the entire grocery list ;)

Anyway, maybe he's just not good at giving gifts. I would suggest talking to him about it, though. If I wasn't doing something quite right I would want to know about it.

Hair conditioner? Are you serious? My boyfriend gave me a food saver for christmas one year.....I wanted to throw it at him. He doesn't do the gift thing very well....men usually dont'. Maybe you should bring this up to your boyfriend...tell him you appreciate the things he gives you but maybe he could put a little more effort into shopping for special occasions. And if he hits a dead end, then just ask you for a few ideas.

Maybe I shouldn't offer any advice, I bought my lady a 12 Gauge Riot Shotgun one year, and strangely I'm still here.

Obviously I must be doing something right in other areas.

there are various of presents you are able to opt for for your mom and dad for his or her wedding ceremony anniversary. i imagine the most suitable present should be to present them with a present voucher from the Magistic Cruises or Sydney Showboat. they could adventure the fantastic thing about the Harbour and luxuriate in an extravagant lunch or dinner. very last year i proficient my mom and dad with a present voucher from the Magistic Dinner Cruises. The view of the Sydney Harbour at nighttime is extremely outstanding and the buffet they serve is freshly prepared on board. My mom and dad had an attractive time and hopes to have a good time their anniversaries continuously on the cruise.

Well....at least he tried? Maybe you can just present him with a list of things you really want?
Next time you have a special occasion, buy yourself something really nice and expensive...and tell him "look what you bought me honey! Isn't it nice?"
Maybe he'll get the clue as to the level of effort you expect from him.

A lot of men aren't very imaginative. Tell him what you want.
