i was with this guy for about eight months on and off...things havnt been working out lately and he's just not someone i should probably be with anymore...but im in love with him...or lust im not sure i just at this point dont see myself with anyone else. I think i may just be holding onto something thats never going to happen again. Ive tried moving to other guys and i have a hard time cuz i compare everyone to hima nd no one seems good enough. I just dont think im ready to move on and into another relationship again. I really need advice on how to move on and just forget about this guy that i once thought was the guy...the perfect guy. help?!?!?

I think part of answering would be to know how old you are. If you are 18 or younger, then you probably have a false idea of what love really is. I think you only see yourself as a person when you are with this guy. This is SO IMPORTANT for girls. Please have an idea of who you are as a person outside of the relationship...
Now, if you are older (let's just say roughly 24 and up), then things get harder. I know what it's like to love someone, but know deep down that they are just not right for you. Only way to really get over it is to not see that person again... for some time... That doesn't mean you can't be friends in the end, but at least you won't be constantly reminded of him while you are trying to figure out what you want. I guess this all comes back to knowing who you are and what you want.
Good luck. Don't get back together with him. You will be better off in the long run...

There are over six billion people on this planet; the odds of this guy being "the one" is less than the chances you will win the f'n lotto. The fact that this has been an on and off thing, and only eight months at that, means lust is the more likely.

I'm sad to say that i am in the same situation right now. But if u really feel like u shouldn't b with him anymore then don't be. I've just been trying to keep myself as busy as possible so i don't think about it. Unfortunately the only thing that will help us move on is time

You don't need to move on to another relationship. You just need to surround your self with good friends and good times. In time you'll be ready and you'll realize that he wasn't the right one.
