I am currently reading this book " A Return To Modesty"
by Wendy Shalit. I am finding myself very moved by
the information in it.

In this book she talks about how womens liberation
is actually oppressing us more. It is hurting
women much more,a nd causing all sorts of
havoc to be wrought upon us. With freedom
to sleep around and dress how we want
and emulating men. With feminism the norm
we now have increased rape,
increased sexism, increased violence against women
increased sexual dysfunction, increased anorexia
and bulimia,increased divorce, increased abortion,
increased STDs, increased psychological problems..
the list goes on and on.

In your opinion do you believe that women
giving up their modesty has hurt us? And
inevitbly destroying romance, marraige,
relationships,and mens treatment of women.

Men used to live by a code of conduct
around women, to be worthy of them.
To be gentlemen.

I think with feminism we destroyed chivalry
and mens respect for women and their bodies.

Here’s the situation... I was hanging out with my cousin and he has a friend named Michelle that he said he is trying to go for... but when I saw her my heart melted. Like seriously, not to sound sappy or anything, I really am head over heels for this girl so badly that I'm having trouble sleeping at night. Any way, me, my cousin and Michelle (my bell) were hanging out, and when my cousin wasn’t around she would constantly talk with me. Through out the night our eyes would connect for a few moments, though I’m not sure if being drunk and high had any effect on that. It’s just that when my cousin was there we couldn’t talk to each other for some reason. As soon as my counsin would leave she would talk to me about all kinda of stuff!! What dose this mean?! Can anyone help me... it hurts so badly, I love this girl. I want to call her but the only way to get to her is through my cousin!! Ahhhh help!! The love of my life just gave up on us. I loved everything about her so much, and towards the end we had typical problems that all people go through (communication, ect) nothing major...it just needed work and she gave up on us. Everything we were and could have been is gone! Everything was so great in the begining, and now it's not. I just don't understand everything I'm feeling right now, please help me...I don't understand! How can I hate her so much, but at the same time love her so much...and miss her so much!

I'm 19. I also have a girlfriend. She isnt implying sex, but some kind of sex act (oral, masturbation). I met her online and gave her my phone number after becoming friends. Since then we have met up about 15 times and even gone out to see a few movies (she only lives 15 mins away). She wont stop calling me and she knows I have a girlfriend, but she wants me to go over and "play" with her. What should I do to stop this? Its so tempting, but I just cant do it. so i liked this guy. my Best friend knew and just when it seemed like this were gonna change for me and him she told him she likes him and he told her he likes her too...on valentins day. after htat i tried to forget and seemed to be doing pretty well......trying not to hold a grudge...and just being friends with him. that other girl though wasnt allowed to do anything EVER and they rarely saw each other. me and him though talked on the phone for hours and saw each other often. now im not sure that i like him anymore...but recently we kinda got closer and sometimes i say...one day i'll find my dream guy and he answers by saying....maybe smoeday you'll find me....also we woudl take walks and stuff just talking without her name ever coming up......and if it did come up he'd change the subject. he kinda a "romantic" guy..likes to watch sunsets and walk on the beach..so yesterday my friends...he and i took a walk on the beach things were going really wel....i don't know wats up anymore.
