My friend's gay, and he's very depressed about it. He wants to become straight. Is that just a mad idea of his, or is it possible?

He might be able to get to bi, but he will never be 100% straight.

If your friend has decided to go straight.. then it is a personal decision. He may have gone gay in the first place as a follow of trends. Maybe he really is gay.... this is something he will figure out as time goes one. Give your friend some space, this a a hard decision... and you never know what kind of pressure your friend may be getting from whom. Good Luck.

NO. If he's really gay, then he's has deep emotional, physical, and sexual attractions to the same sex. Trying to change it or just trying be to straight, will cause him to be even more depress. Be a friend and help him find who he is. If he finds that he is gay, help him accept it and still be his friend.

IF he is Gay then he is gay...there is no "changing" I would say that your friend THINKS he is Gay because that is the "in" thing to be...One doesn't change their sexual orientation...that's like a dog becoming a cat...can it be done?

you never really know if you're complete gay or not (or just homosexual in general) and maybe someday he'll meet a girl that's just right for him and he'll like her.
