i've been seeing a single dad now for about three months - and have yet to meet his child. i was able to leave my previous marriage (we are both on the fast track to divorce) before having children - so i haven't been in his shoes. i do make sure to ask about his child everytime i see him, and share whats going on with the kids in my family (neices and nephews) - which i know isn't the same - but its as close as i have come to having children at this point.

how long do other single parents usually wait before introducing their b/f or g/f to their children? are their certain critieria you look for before doing so?

Me and my x- boyfriends broke up 7 months ago, and were dating for 9 yrs and he left me for another. he's always cheated but this time he left me! So now he wants me back and I don't want him back. I realised I deserved better, and I have told him every lil pain that he had given me, and I learned from it. But now hes' showing up every where I go, and constantly wants to get info about me, and watches me from every corner from his eye. Why can't he juss leave me alone, like how i let him go on with that girl as much as it hurted me I left him alone while i was in pain where my life went downhill. I met this guy online and we IMed for a few days and exchanged numbers. The first night we talked on the phone was for 6 hours. We talked for hours every night for a week and he told me he liked me. Now, everytime I see he is online, he doesn't IM me, or if I IM him, he says he's busy. I called him earlier and he said he was busy online and let me go. He never called back. What is your opinion?

My boyfriend tells me that he doesn't like to talk on the phone and sometimes it bothers me but I try to understand. It's weird because when I call him durring the day or on the weekends when I'm not with him he either tells me he was busy or talk to me for a little while but he'd be in a grouchy mood and then he always reminds me he doesn't like to talk on the phone. Well I tried something new and figured I'd do the same thing to him and not call him and sometimes when he'd call I'd tell him I couldn't talk. When I do that then he starts calling me and wanting to talk. and if I go back to calling him even if it's not that much he does the same thing. I don't understand. If he's not a phone person then why would he call. And when he starts calling I figure that it means I should call him but apperently it doesn't. Can you tell me why he does that.

And no he's not seeing someone else and that's why he always wants to call me.
