Singles & Dating - 17 June 2006

A guy that i like asked me to become his girlfriend(i confessed my feeling to him last year via sms) on Febuary this year. He asked me weather a long distance relationship could makes my academic result worse. After that, he asked me weather i'm confident enough to sustain a long distance relationship. I'm excited when i heard that, but i don't know how to answer him(cause i have never going through this before). I said it's hard to sustain and he said put on going steady on hold temporarily. Now, June has coming. We are just friends after that phone call. Last night, i sent him his birthday present, cause he's not in the town on the day of his birthdate.He's happy when he received the present. I feel regret cause i rejected his request. I want to tell him i want to be his girlfriend, but i scared that things'll turn outside down. Will he ever ask that question again? I think no. If we really become couple,'ll us match?He is a mechanic to be and me'll a university student to be.

I'm curious as to why a mixed couple seems to raise eyebrows and draw automatic stares and a same colour couple barely gets a glance. Also why does it seem as though white men are least likely to get involved with a woman of a different colour whilst white women are more likely to do so - yes i know it's an individual choice but i'm just asking as an overview. Ummm before anyone knocks me - i'll just add that my folks are of a happily mixed race :))) Just wondered what folks on here think.

I walked into this store (family restaurant).. at first the door was locked as it was 11pm but when the girl saw me she opened the door (I had never seen this girl b4 in my life). And said she would make me my order (a pita role)...I noticed she went out of her why to do this... cos she had to unpack everything that was put away for the day, restart the grill etc .. So in my mind i decided to give her a nice tip... but when it was all done.. she said dont worry about it its on the house. wow!
Now something like this has happened to me once b4... at a convenience store... a girl said not to pay for a couple of items its on the house....

now my question is.... do you think these girls actions ...where a hint that they were trying to get me to ask them out?..... or am i just reading into it way too much?

My bf used to be the sweetest guy on earth..he sent me flowers, left stalks of champagne roses on my car for me to find..send me sweet texts and romantic e-cards..Now however, since he has had problems with work and finance, he has stopped being sweet..When I send him sweet texts, all he replies is aww..thanks..how sweet...etc. Thats all. I sent him an e-card which said I love you, He sent me back an 'im thinking of you' card..What is up? I drove all the way from my hse to his..I nvr did that before. I live on an island which connects to the mainland with a bridge and he lives on the mainland..and yeah he thanked me for coming and all but I didnt feel it. WHY is it that suddenly, im doing all the giving and he is taking and giving with a pinch of effort?

My fiance just said that he couldn't handle being with me anymore if I went drinking. Considering I'm going to marry the guy, I told him that I would give up drinking for him, but now I'm wondering if he really has a legitimate reason to ask to me to do such a thing.

You see, I don't have a drinking problem by any definition. We're only talking about three times a month here, at most! However, it is true that when I drink, I drink to get drunk. My bf dislikes alcohol because he doesn't like the idea of chemicals messing with your brain and doesn't see the point of it. He says that the reason he can't handle me drinking is because he can't see me intentionally act stupid around other people. I'm almost 21, and I'm going to give up a lot of college life if I never drink. Drinking is not super important to me, but I'm so young to miss out! It is true that I want to grow up and stop partying eventually, so maybe why not now? What should I do?

welll me and my bf have a very smooth relationshi his so sweet and caring and he accept me even if i already has a baby.. he cares for my baby to, he fights for me from his family and friends cos hey judged me of having a baby. he comes to my hows and meet my family. them after 2 mons and 3 weeks he sudden changed one day he told me "y did i only meet you now
i never tot b4 that i cant do my responsibilities to u" i loved u so much but i think i need to have a break i want to rest 4 awhile but dont worry ill come back".. i loved him so much and i dont wanna loose him wat can i do.. after days i go after him he come back to me but he sed i shouldnt call him "pah" anymore and he sed that if i have a bf i shud thrust him and never give doubt.. then a he sed he really need a break he wants to rest.. when i ask him if he still love me he sed "i dont know" then i didnt replyd to him anymore
wat shal i do do i have to come after him agen or wait for him?

i called my bf who lives in korea
and im living in tokyo
hes said hes been busy but i called him
he said he was taking subway to go to a big city
he should have called me if hes got time for himself

i reciently got some letters back saying i could get into modelling,

I gave them some pic recient ones and yeah they likesd them... Search for modelling company, but not sure yet, i really dont seem to be a modelling type, im too down to earth all the chicks there at the interviews were snotty. sorry but they were!
