I believe developed countries have done a lot to protect children such that their parents are now victims of abuse by their own children. Because they can choose whether or not to smoke, have sex, go to school at the age of 10 - who will control them. Parents cannot administer the necessary and occassional spank to instill discipline without getting a call from social services for child abuse.

Because a child gets pregnant at 14 to enjoy state benefits!, she is not ready to be a mother, smokes throughout the pregnancy to keep the baby small - the developed world has seen an unprecedented increase in disabled children being born. Parenting has become a nightmare and many couples are opting to do without children. Should laws protecting children be reviewed to draw the line between disciplinary action and abuse?

Me and my husband used to fight and separate all the time, but we always have this VERY STRONG connection, and we always wind up back together. He agrees that there is a bond. Why is this? I think he's my soul mate.

We live in a world that teaches us what relationships (between a man & a woman) are suppose to be like. I'm 30, how many people do you know ages 35 and under that have a relationship that you can actually saw you admire. Most of my friends are single and haven't come across Mr. Right yet and those that do have a mate aren't truly happy, they just fear being alone. I talk with married people, married people say stay single. What's your take?

I know I shouldn't be feeling sad because I'm no longer a kid, but I feel so sad about the things that are happening in my life right now, and I can't stop worrying about them and about the welfare of my parents who are past 60, and I just wish God would listen to me for once and give me the assurance that he watch over my parents and keep them safe from all harm and danger and give them only happiness and true joy till the end of their lives. Even my old school friend won't return my calls and I understand what I could have possibly done to deserve this sort of cold treatment from him, because I know he is doing fine, but I just wish he would return my calls or emails some time and he hasn't done so in months. I wish someone would remember to give me a present this Christmas because I feel like I'm the only one in my family who thinks of everyone else and for the second year in a row, my family members, all 7 of them have decided not to exchange presents. I wish someone cared for me:(

in a telemarketing scam. Now its all gone and she has nothing. She wont leave my house. I understand she has no where to go but I don't want her here. I told her she could rent my shack in the back yard until March but come Spring thaw she's got to go. My granmother thinks somehow I'm partly responsible. I think she's looking for a free ride. What do you think?

I attended a strict Independent Fundamental Baptist school and church while growing up.

If any of you attended a Christian school, what was your experience like?
Do you wish that you would have gone to a different school?
If your school promoted colleges, which one(s) did they promote?
Did the rules and/or the school's way of thinking alter the way you think now as an adult?

Just looking to see if others have dealt with similar stuff like I did.

I asked a similar question and posted it on Religion/Spirituality section but I don't think as many people visit there as they do "Family/Relationships"! :)

And no, I am NOT bashing Christian schools. I even sent my daughter to one for two years, and had positive things to say about it. :) (at least that school was normal... wish I could say that about the school I attended! LOL)
