We live in a world that teaches us what relationships (between a man & a woman) are suppose to be like. I'm 30, how many people do you know ages 35 and under that have a relationship that you can actually saw you admire. Most of my friends are single and haven't come across Mr. Right yet and those that do have a mate aren't truly happy, they just fear being alone. I talk with married people, married people say stay single. What's your take?

i agree with you that finding a couple with an admirable relationship is difficult, but dont let that discourage you from keeping yourself open to the possibity of you finding one of your own. the additude that you have on this subject will project from you and work against your desire of finding mr. right. understand that although there are few couples you may admire that you too can one day be just like them. but for now you must live your life to its fullest and nuture yourself so that when the wrong one comes along you wont fall victim to settling and when the right one appears you will be happy and healthy and in a position to enter into the relationship of your dreams! let the failing and unhappy relationships you are witnessing be lessons to you. learn from the mistakes you see other couples making. view this time as an opportunity to prepare yourself so that when the time comes you will have gained knowledge through others. your life is what you make of it. dont lose hope on what you want based on others opinions or experiences.

I believe that everyone has a mate, most people are so desperate to be a couple they settle. they have no idea what it really takes to make a marriage successful.
and the married people you asked are probably unsuccessful in their relationships.
I am very happy with my husband of 10 years. I say find the right person and any relationship can be wonderful.

Marriage is over rated..... a piece of paper won't make you any happier with that person then you already are... I have been married for a while now and we have a son together and i do love him but if we had not had our son we would have just been living together.... so i agree with what the other person said marriage if you have kids with that person and he is good to them and you.... Mr. Right may be someone you never exspected and he may be right in front of you stop looking so hard and just have fun and he will come along

In general I think marriage is for couples who are going to have children. Other than that it seems like a bad idea as living together is no longer the stigma it used to be. Still a very one sided contract favoring the female.
