My boyfriend told me that his mom bathed him until he was 13 and the only reason she stopped was because his dad said he had hair and maybe needed to be showering alone.Does anyone else find this strange? They're from another country where public bathing is everyday.I've asked him if he was every touched but I never really know how to be in depth without him getting semi-defensive and telling me to stop asking stupid questions.Should I assume normalcy and let it go or how should I bring it up.I just found it strange.Am I obessed?

Tomorrow is never promised to anyone. Have you told those you cherish how you feel about them today or any day this week? It's important to let someone know how you feel because it may be too late.

Do you think I will have the potential to be the type of parent that hates her children? I know parents are supposed to love their children no matter what.

I've been told that I work well with children by professors. However, I'm afraid I will end up being the type of person that just hates her child. I have a younger sister (8), who grew up with very permissive parents. I have no control. I'm not allowed to discipline them, so when they kick me, lock me out of the house, tell me I'm stupid, steal my stuff etc., I just sit there and say, "Oh, please don't do that." My younger brother (6) is wonderful alone, but with his sister's influence, he's a real terror, too. I don't want to say I hate her, but it is very difficult to express any love when this child is telling me what to do and "wins." I hate it.

I'm worried that when I become a mom, I will have this hatred towards my child. I'm very scared. It's safe to say that sometimes I strongly, strongly dislike my sister.

We broke up very suddenly and had, up to that point even been considering marriage and children. She was out with another guy that night and is still with him. She and I argued a lot after we broke up but now when she calls she will ask me if I was happy with our sex life and if I think she is prettier than random girls she names. I even told her once not to call me again but she still calls. I love her but I dont understand why she is doing all this. If we are over shouldn't she just let me go.

When my boyfriend looks into my eyes for a long time and then smiles when he realises that I have noticed he stares at me.. when he cooks you a birthday lunch... when he looks after you when you too much too drink :-)... and sings you songs to make you fall asleep.. what would you say it means? He does not say verbally "I love you" but he has made this weekend so special for me in these special ways

You know there is something. Mine always leave the shaving cream out on the bathroom sink, rather than put it away. Nothing else, always the shaving cream. bugs me.

i was with my ex for 2 1/2 years. i was so in love with him. to be honest, i still am. even though i've just found him to be a cheater on alleged cheater websites. although to be fair i had suspected he cheated on me several times. he was my whole world. i thought we'd always be together and that i truely was the only one.
we have a baby together. who he doesn't support.
i must be crazy to still have feelings for him after all the things i've found out recently. to realize that he lied about everything. i trusted him and believed everything he said.
i feel physically weak and sick. and have headaches from thinking about him all the time.
my friends say what is this hold that he has over you? just move on. but i've been finding it so hard to do just that.
he's the love of my life and was my first serious boyfriend.
he just upt and left, left me holding the baby.
im so sad. so down. heading towards depression.
is there hope for me. to stop this pain and find happiness again?

This question is kind of personal... but I was reading this heartwarming story, and this topic came up. It made me think of what was important in life and in a chosen significant other. Would you want someone who you would undoubtably get along with because they shared everything with you, opinions and insights? Or would you want your opposite, to have someone who you can absorb insights and thoughts from, and they can from you? There's that trite saying-- opposites attract. But maybe there's something to that-- that your opposite may complete you, although someone similar to you would probably be easier to get along with...

I'd love to hear your insights on this topic.
