Friends - March 2007

Ok, so me and my friend are REALLY good friends and we get along really well. The only thing that annoys me is that sometimes she gets really sure of herself and brags too much... she is REALLY pretty and like ALL the boys love her, and she knows it. Well i am not very pretty, sometimes i feel really ugly. She spends hours always telling me how ALL the guys try to flirt with her and call her beautiful and she talks as if she's complaining, but really i know that she likes it because she smiles and she flirts back. And im thinking, wow if only just one guy liked me. I am very nice about it and listen to all her stories and give her advice, but sometimes her bragging annoys me a little.. also whenever i tell her a story about a guy who might like me, she looks at me and raises her eyebrows and says, 'he's probably just messing with you, or joking.' How insulting and concieted she is to think that she is so much better than me. Has anybody experienced this or have any tips?

I have a shadow to follow, my brother, he was so cool in the school I am attending. Now I know that I shouldnt care about this but, I dont wont my school life to be like this:

"wow, her bro was so cool and she is just not!"

So how do I play it cool at school and home.

theres this girl in our class ( mutiat ) and she calls me for the homework and then ten minutes later she calls me again saying uhh yeah i forgot what are home work was again can you tell me and she is awways following my friends and i and saying oooh that shirt is cute. and once we were talking about dogs and she goes " i like my omeltes fried with bacon!" and me and my freinds are all " uhhhhhh.........?" how can i break it to her to back off and leave us alone ect ect? she trys so hrad to be our friend but she cant she just CANT

me and my friend used to be part of a social group with all our friends but one girl has started to become more powerful than the other people... she is crazy... she bosses everyone around and yet still people are her friend and listen to her... my guy friend was yelled at by her on the bus yesterday, and it was horrible. she tells all his friends they can't be friends with him anymore or else she won't be friends with them anymore. whenever anyone has a party, she only goes and eats the food... shes rich, but shes always has to "borrow" money from everyone and shes doesn't pay them back ever. and she only comes to social events if there is gonna be food (shes kinda fat)
shes recently decided me and my guy friends aren't good enough for her or her clique anymore even though we are both still friends with her friends. what can we do to make her life as miserable as possible (and hopefully gain some friends back in the process)? dont tell me that revenge isn't the answer.

I married 1 yr ago. My husband will be in the U.S. A. in May inshalah.
my bestfriend is gay. We have always kept in touch, but I am not feeling comfortable with her anymore. This is because I am getting a vibe she is attracted to me. I feel sick when I think about it because I do not care for her that way. I feel sometimes she crosses the line, but I try to ignore it. I am now tired of it. I do not want to deal with it anymore. How do I break our friendship outings without telling her the real reason why I cannot hang with her anymore? So far I have not been taking her calls. Please help and be sincere about it. All of this is so disturbing to me.

my friend is always calling me big she is vietnamese and much smaller than me. I always laugh it off but lately it is really getting to me. I am really shy and have trouble speaking my mind to her, also I dont want her to think im jelous of her smaller frame. I cant loose weight cuz im already pretty lean 5'7 120 and most of that is in the right spots. so i dont want to get sick. how can i get her to stop subtly. im tall compared to most my asian friends and lokk small compared to my american friends. im half japanese so i feel big.!!!

She's a friend who has a reputation (if you know what i mean).
The thing is, she's a really kind person, thinks of others before her own needs and is always there for a shoulder to off load trouble's....BUT....she also has a reputation as man eater of the married.
She sometimes get's a bit TO friendly and even though i'm not interested in her in that respect cos i would never do anything like that to my wife (who happens to be the most wonderfull woman alive). She's done evrything to try and temp me.
Calling me to her house to help fix stuff and wearing nothing but a small towel and sitting on my lap....you name it, she's tryed it.
I'm just not interedted though and it's been going on for weeks.
I dont want to loose her friendship though, as she's also one of my wife's best friends.
I've tried telling her straight, but she still does it.

my ex friend {she doesnt know it} keeps asking to come over to my house to spend the night. she came to my birthday party znd she was yelling and stomping around andwhen we had a BIG fight , she slamed my MOMS door in my face at my own house!!!! and she doesnt know how to behave at other peoples houses. and she is very sensitive! if you say that she is dumb, she will cry all day! so how do i tell her that i dont want her coming over to my house because my mom doesnt even want her there either. so how do i tell her that we dont want her over at our house?

My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Ok me and some of my BFFs were playing with another friend of ours. She had fake but real looking nails that you glue on( Bria) because the other day one of her friend that is not our BFFs friend had fake but real looking nails on.( Jamie) And just my other friend ( Abbey ) had two of the nails on so MBFFs ( me and my bffs) heard the Jamie ripped on of Abbeys nails off because Jamie had just gotten hers off yesterday and thought since Abbey and Bria had them on it was not fair for the rest of the class or whoever wanted nails. MBFFs asked Jamie why she did that, she said because it was not fair to her and anybody else who wanted nails.( even tho she just had some one yesterday) So she ripped one of Abbeys nails off. Then Jamie ran away CRYING HER EYES OUT and her friends were like why did you just do that? im like do what we asked her a question. Shes like omg meanies so we had to stay away from Jamie because she told on MBFFs. Isn't that STUPID? ( we were not going to tell on Jamie)
