I know that is a broad question, so I will narrow it in the details. My child is grown now, but , I have a five y/o nephew that I spend a lot of time with. I emphasize respect to him all the time. I put a lot of emphasis on that when my son was young too. For instance, he got into trouble one time at school and I had to go to a parent teacher meeting, this young teacher was a nervous wreck trying to talk to me about what he had done. I finally had to tell her to just spit it out. When she finished telling me that he had popped off to her in front of the class for laughs, his head was hanging because he knew what was coming. I told him that he didn't have to learn anything but he would sit in that classroom and keep his damn mouth shut. She couldn't believe that I got on him instead of her. To me tha's a sad statement when the teachers are afraid to talk to the parent . So for me it's respect.

ok here it goes my gf thought we broke up because i am at work alot and we dont get to talk much so she went out last night and cheated on me with some other guy then calls me up this morning and told me that it was because she thought we broke up and so i was like u should've known better then that then she called me again and said that the reason was because he was drunk and would not let up now she is leavin me msgs and wanting me to forgive her i dont kno what to do or believe so if anyone could give me their opinion i would greatly appiciate it

I'm just want to get some other perspective on this...
People consider me a "good catch" - whatever that means. I'm educated, do okay for myself, have a good head, goals and ambitions...I am not fat and I definitely didn't fall from the ugly tree. Beauty, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, and guys have called me everything in a range of "beautiful" to "better than average" (was that a compliment, by the way? I still don't know...). I'm emotionally stable (haha) and not a clingy type of girl. So...what the heck is up?!

My ex-roomate left me with bills that she created herself. She also got one of her stupid friends to come in my place and steal my stuff. Also, she stole my car and gave it back to me that night and denined it. My other friend, my mom and I believe that she slashed my tires. My partner and I have recently split up and my darling little boy has changed over night from an affection sweetheart to a distressed,and somewhat aggressive tyke.The split between his farther and I wasn't an awful,traumatic thing,in fact it was all done quite civilly over a cup of tea and there have been no real arguements over access or finance but obviously our son has picked up on the negative vibes and is acting out.
I would like to do some activities with him to help us reconnect and make him feel more secure but on a seriously strained budget I need some ideas.I do colouring and take him to the park and stuff and read to him everyday but need some more ideas?

i've had an aweful day. i went to this tiny little shop and got to the checkout line and my debit was denied. apparently the bank has done a little blunder, but it was still really embarrassing and a huge hassel. i just got so adgravated and i came home and cried. my boyfriend (and dad) is always trying to keep little tabs on me and see how i spend my money and this just gives him an excuse to have something to rub in my face and act like i'm a silly little irresponsible girl. i dont know why i'm so depressed about it. i just felt bad today anyway, and didn't feel like going in the first place and then all that had to happen. i know it shouldn't be a big deal, but it was. and i was wondering if this had happened to anybody else...? i just want someone to cheer me up really. any words of encouragement or anything to make it seem less bad..? i just dont know why i'm taking this so hard. i know it is a small thing compared to other things. but its just running all over me

My brother is so spoiled! he's annoying and gets away with everything! i practically get 10 bruises a day! or an hour! My mom thinks he's an angel worth more than diamonds!! He gets everything he wants!!!!!!!! He's always first in everything and its like im practically ignored! and worst of all he like rubs it in my face with his freakin pride!!! The only people who really know what I'm going through is my best freind and her mom. I feel like I don't even exist. I need advice, someone who knows how to deal with him. So far trying to discipline him doesn't work. Trying to complaining to my mom stinks. and everything just makes her mad and sends me punishment! For now my best freind has come up with a trial-error solution of rubbing things in his face to make him shut up. someone! please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
