What was the best line, or lyric You have ever heard in a song?
I'm going with
"The stairway to heaven was made up in hell"
From the BOC song O.D.d On Life Itself

Your Turn

The first correct answer gets 10 points!

born to be down
I've learned all my lessons before now
born to be down
I think you'll get used to it

and you just don't get it
you keep it copacetic
and you learn to accept it
you know it's so pathetic

It could be using part of their name, or from a song, or person in a band.

I don't mind profanity. I just think it's words and people shouldn't get so offended by it, but sometimes when an artist uses short 4 lettered words after each phrase it gets really annoying and just kills the whole song. Using profanity once or twice in a song is fine with me but going 50 Cent crazy on it is just too much.

What's your opinon on it?

i heard that 311 is with the KKK because of their name

3=the 3 K's
11=K the 11th letter of the alphabet

is it true?

Does your love of certain bands/musicians ever distort your opinion of their music? Are their albums by your favourite bands that you probably wouldn't like if released by someone else, but your affinity for them makes up what the music lacks?

I know for my part that in the past I've overlooked flawed albums and bad songs, simply because I loved a certain band so much, one example being "Get Behind Me Satan" by The White Stripes. Nowadays, however, I find that I'm more aware of the weak links in a bands back catalogue.

How about you?

Then someone responded by saying Tony Iommi wears a cross so there's you answer. I was like....huh???? What other bands have gottin thought as of Christian but are far from it?

Or
Hammer Of The Gods

i'm talking about bands that rely on slow tempos and a strong lead vocalist who can make a song sound original. most notably chris cornell of soundgarden or layne staley of alice in chains. are there any newer bands that you know that sound like this? i'm not talking about that crazy metal stuff. so please...no lamb of god..no sepultra...none of that please. just something that is easy listening but with a hard edge to it.
