i heard that 311 is with the KKK because of their name

Don't believe everything you hear. Major corporate record labels don't put out material by racists or neo-Nazis. They're funny like that. I've heard these rumors before and not only are they idiotic but very insulting to a band that is the exact opposite of that.

The name actually came from a skinny dipping incident when Jim Watson, the band's former guitarist, was charged with indecent exposure by the Omaha Police Department and was escorted home handcuffed and naked. The police code which appeared on the citation was "311
