Not only do I not mind it but I tend to gravitate towards it. If it offends you, don't listen, case closed. The FCC would be wise to consider such dogma.

I personally don't mind profanity that much, but if it's every other word, it kind of ruins the song in a way. It feels more like a rant than a song. But most the musicians I listen to don't use that much profanity so it's not such a problem for me.

commonly profanity indicators a loss of sturdy suggestions and/or expertise, yet no longer continually. Lenny Bruce used profanity in his comedy act to make a considered necessary factor interior the age of severe censorship, so this is no longer stable to make a blanket assertion. Profanity would not make susceptible paintings better, nor does it make great paintings weaker. paintings is paintings, and profanity is like spice. Used improperly, it screws up the entire dish.

I don't mind profanity, I use it all the time. But a good example of me hating it's use is Soulfly's second album Primitive. Every other word is f*ck. I mean it's sickening, how lazy are you to keep repeating it in every verse in every song. I hate that album and after that they kept doing it, and I lost respect for them. It's truly sad when you have to go to the profanity route in every song you "create."

Profanity does not bother me.
Because one thing musicians put into their music is feelings and emotions and meanings. Sometimes when they write lyrics they best express it through profane language. And it puts the feeling into the song.

If it pushes the emotion along I'm all for it or describes something better such as the song I'm listening to right now "Crazy B****"
Rappers who do it because they can are just showing off that they can and people will buy it cause it has the N or F word.
But I personally hate hearing edited versions of songs.. one of the redeeming things about satellite radio

it doesn't bother me at all, some people get too crazy with it either way (some won't listen to stuff that has any swearing, some won't unless it has excessive amounts) it only bothers me when it's used so much that it's annoying, i'm not offended by it, it's just annoying. an example would be liar liar (burn in hell) by the used. f*ck is used so many times that it's just annoying, not offensive, but annoying

I don't mind it if it belongs in the song. I agree with you some people just put it in every other word and it takes away from the song. Words are just words after all.

If it sounds good with the song I don't mind it at all. But if they are using it excessively I am turned off. But seeing how I listen to a majority of christian Hardcore/Metal I don't come in contact with it much.
